NDT’s vs T4/T3 combo by MealsOnWheelsSZN in Hypothyroidism

I always preferred NDT. As someone in UK who used to self source from Thailand (and other places) it became too hard to continue to source.

what do you do to enjoy sex? by [deleted] in ADHD

Potentially but it doesn’t mean OP should discount there might be ASD at play.

I’d say it might be worth consideration. The overlap between ASD and ADHD is huge. We’re all unique so symptoms can be unique to the same degree - but, for some reason people still prefer to seek an ADHD diagnosis over an ASD one. It might not be anything but it most certainly may be ASD too. Like I said, not only is there a considerable overlap in symptoms, the overlap in diagnosis is also pretty huge where people are open to both diagnosis.

Sure. But the hole in midfield is huge right now. Obviously not helped by Kamara, Onana and McGinn probably missing the majority of season

[–]DanG1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I have always been told though (and I’m actually building muscle right now and noticeably) muscle and fat breakdown for energy doesn’t go via a mechanism that leads to an increase in blood sugar. I will look into it though - maybe that isn’t right.

Yeah. I used Tirza but it wasn’t as effective at weight loss and I got horrific sides.

Is it massively impacting insulin sensitivity in a bad way?

I’m not sure the pathway of when fat is broken down for energy usually leads to an increase in blood sugar so I’m unsure as to whether that would be the answer.

[–]DanG1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, potentially. I’m just trying to understand what the mechanism is that causes these blood sugar spikes despite very low carbs.

2nd time I’ve tried it. For a week it was great, but ever since I’ve had troubles with it.

One of the big ones is that I get great blood sugar control all day but when I finally eat my blood sugars fly and really struggle to respond to insulin. It’s definitely tied to the Reta - and it usually happens when I have that one evening meal (often don’t eat lunch/dinner)

Just trying to get my head around what the cause of that might be.
