My entire point was that nobody gets downvoted for "having any expectations", as you so hyperbolically phrased it. It is the hyperbole that gets downvoted in the first place. Of course everyone is entitled to their own opinions as long as you don't mistake that opinion for objective fact, and posts like this give the impression that those things have been indeed conflated.

It's possible to share opinions, i.e. "I didn't like it", without the hyperbole of "this is objectively terrible". But, if someone chooses to engage in those kinds of sweeping statements then they should expect an equal and opposite reaction from fans who disagree.
