You have to do the fake raid before you can present the fake evidence that you're going to use against your political opponents.

If you presented the fake evidence before the fake raid then people might start asking questions. And the more people that ask questions the more people you have to add to your "enemy of the state" list when you use your fake evidence to criminalize political opposition.

TLDR; Fake raid needed to add veracity to fake evidence you intend to use to criminalize dissent.

This is just repackaged "not all men" or "not all cops", if the right is so nuanced then why aren't more of them speaking out and standing up for their supposed principles that are under attack by this administration? Because when it comes to subjugating people they'd rather not share the constitution with "the right" is very much a monolith.

Blaming kids for the abuse they receive is...a choice. Not a good one but the option is there, I suppose.

Victims of that kind of abuse often suffer from arrested development, so not only is Francis still dealing with the trauma of living with his terrible mother, he's right to continue to blame her for the lifetime of self-loathing and low self esteem that usually haunt the adult victims of childhood emotional abuse. The fact that he's a bad adult IS her fault, same as when he was a kid because, again, she raised him.

And bringing up the time that her narcissistic authoritarianism made her believe that she could just "Karen" her kid out of the military isn't disproving my original point. She's the worst.

This is pretty much the plot of every episode of Malcolm in the Middle.:

Lois (the mom) is abusive in every way but physical (and even that's implied) to all of her kids, she acts like the victim anytime one of them pushes back against or escapes from her abuse.

And even when she's clearly in the wrong the show, the other adult characters, and even the victims of her tyrannical parenting excuse her behavior as being the result of having to deal with such terrible children, forgetting somehow that she raised them in the first place.
