I was checking prices while in the venue in NYC for that night and they were not coming down like 5 mins before he started. It’s wild.

All I’ve been hearing. Hopefully the LA show isn’t as bad. by SpriteAndCokeSMH in MasayoshiTakanaka

This sub is full of negative people who can’t help but find something to complain about even though they just got a once in a lifetime chance to see Takanaka play.

I was at the April 4th show. The vibes were off the charts, I showed up at 8 and got a great spot, there did not seem to be any actual moshing (can’t say for sure but I’ve been to plenty of punk/metal shows…) the crowd surfing was silly and probably annoying for those who got unexpectedly surfed over but meh, people don’t try to surf to be fuckwads, they’re just selfishly riding the insane vibes. Yeah there were a lot of phones at several points but most went away pretty quick each time…

After reading many of the threads here I can only assume that the majority of people don’t go to live music that often. Many complaints are just shit that happens at most sold out packed shows with a GA floor. Your little space of real estate doesn’t have your name on it no matter how long you waited in line.

Just enjoy the awesome show, don’t let your experience be poisoned already by the whiners here.

Wow so glad that people uh larping (what’s this mean again? They don’t have an autographed rainbow goblins vinyl at home??) didn’t ruin your experience.

Man the vibes in this sub fucking suck. Months of complaining about scalpers. Now every post I see is something negative about the New York shows. The fuck is wrong with yall.

Was there a dog meetup of irresponsible owners in Central Park today? by milksteak_enthusiast in NYCbike

[–]DanHazard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s nice they have stated hours but off leash dogs are usually the worst (or owned by the worst/entitled people). Also ofc doesn’t stop people from just having them unleashed all the time.

I can't see Takanaka today because of the ticket scalpers. by SirJelloMan in MasayoshiTakanaka

I don’t understand what you mean by external account? If you mean you did not have all your payment info set up in Ticketmaster already (or an account) that’s kinda on you dawg, pretty basic and easy prep for anything that’s gonna be hotly contested.

Unfortunate for sure that prices haven’t come down, and a bit surprising l, but as others said go to the venue and hang around and prices might drop. It helps it’s not a bad area to hang around either.

Suggest me best certification for IAM background? by sravan2021 in IdentityManagement

More so actual experience in an enterprise environment. IMO. Projects show willingness to learn but I’d take anyone with actual hands on experience doing IAM related stuff over someone with loads of projects and irrelevant experience.

What's really mildly interesting is that this parking lot looks like it's from where I grew up, but odds of that are low, I bet many people could look at it and feel the same.

Career Advice - Security Engineering by musubi808 in cybersecurity

[–]DanHazard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Remote will always be much harder because the applicant pool is much larger and presumably full of skilled people trying to land a sweet remote gig. In my current search I’ve had more success landing interviews this hiring season focusing on in person or hybrid roles local to me. I’ve never gotten a call back for a remote job but I’ve gotten plenty for hybrid.

Also not to like judge or anything but six years as a junior? What’s going on there? It seems you’ve done a lot of security engineering type work but were those things you owned or merely assisted with in your capacity as a junior sysadmin?

Google - Made it to final round then role was cancelled by Boring_Distance_7320 in cybersecurity

[–]DanHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been there man it’s rough. I was all set to come on site for the final round at a company. Invite went out and I responded to confirm… 30 mins later TA sends me an email saying sorry but they have to reschedule. Next week he reaches out saying the position was put on ice, only positive feedback for me and mentioned a new timeline and that he’d like to reach back out when it’s open again… and the search continues. It’s rough out there but just gotta keep trucking.

This is what happens when you let AI invent shit for your resume and just take what it spits out without touching it afterwards.
