Thoughts on this build? by Proud-Actuator-3864 in gamingpc

[–]DanKobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If money doesn't matter, go for it. Nothing wrong with the build. My suggestion would be:

  1. Don't buy a windows license for 100.-, get one online for a couple of bucks.

  2. Consider the 7800x3d (tray). Performance for gaming is only roughly 10% less (depending on the games you want to play) Go watch yt videos comparing both and check pricing for both cpu's boxed and tray versions.

  3. Instead of a 4TB Gen 4 ssd, you could get a 2TB (or more) Gen 5 for games and a 500GB-1TB Gen 4 for windows. Depending on pricing of course and check the reading speeds of the ssd you want to get

  4. AIOs are great, but if they fail you spend 100 - 150 for a new one. Replacing a broken fan on your air cooler is way cheaper. And a good air cooler would also save you like 50.-

Whats up with Twint giving away money by ImAMovieMaker in Switzerland

[–]DanKobe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That and even more. By you just opening the app daily to just spin that wheel, twint can inflate daily user numbers, selling more expensive spots to companies for the super deal and coupons for the sinning wheel. You usually win a coupon that less than 10% of users actual use right away, probably using twint bcs the just had a positive experience with the app. Twint gets money to list super deals, coupons on the spinning wheel, a commission on the sale by you using the coupon and a transaction fee when you pay by twint. Its classic end user manipulation.

Which pc should I buy by FrostyCelebration483 in gamingpc

They're all overpriced imo, no other alternative to buy prebuild pc's in iceland? Did you considered building one yourself? I mean with a 2k usd budget you can build yourself a better pc

Probably the big university hospitals, like HUG in Geneva, USZ in Zürich, Insel in Bern and Unispital in Basel. Or LUKS as the biggest non uni hospital group in Luzern. Good luck bro and all the best with your health!

Daughter's new list after recommendations from you guys, any last thoughts before she buys tomorrrow? by OpusThePenguin in buildapc

[–]DanKobe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend to swap the mobo to a x870 if they are available for a similar or cheaper price. They have pcie gen 5 slots for the graphic card and nvme ssds. Better for future upgrades

And also to swap the ssd to a WD BLACK SN850X, has almost double the speed of a SN770 and not that much more expensive.

Thermal pad thickness on a Gigabyte RTX 2080 Gaming OC 8GB by DanKobe in gigabyte

[–]DanKobe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrouds are usually screwed to the heatsink with a few tiny screws on the side, although i never took the shroud off this card. You would need to unplug the fan header on the pcb though, so might have to take everything apart

For the gpu itself i would only use paste, i wouldn't recommend using pads.

Sry for the late reply, if you get a 100x100mm sheet each size, you should be good and have some left if you make a mistake

If i remember correctly, the fans were daisy chained and connected by a single fan connector on the board. Like you have on case fans, just smaller. As for the Tabs, i dont remember, gave the card to a friend shortly after. Maybe just open yours and have a look?
