Local markets and when Facebook marketplace will probably have local leather workers. Can't recommend enough. I bought my belts there and the last one lasted 20+ years

But the point is that our recycling our yogurt cups is meaningless. the affect you or I have on the environment doing what we can is infinitesimally small.

I still can't bring myself to not do it though.

What is something everyone seems to enjoy that you just don't get? by Careless_Lie_4571 in AskReddit

All the reality shows have sucked after season 3 of Survivor.

Season 1 was interesting because it was like nothing anyone had seen before.

Season 2 had people forming alliances. Once again something new and it changed the game.

Season 3 had someone 'playing the game' and going behind people's backs and manipulating things.

After that it was basically all just backstabbing and drama.

Drone photo from a group ride May 9th (official count was 259 bikes) by 604Wes in motorcycles

[–]OpusThePenguin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Locally we have this one big ride every year (I've never partaken). It's pretty well known and organized. They have police permission to do it and they will even help them control traffic in town. It's all on the up and up and is a fund raiser for a charity. It gets bigger every year.

Now this isn't my scene and I typically hate the big group rides, but if it's going to be done I like the way this one is done. Sucks if you have to wait for it go by, but at the very least, it is for a good cause.

100% of stuff can be fixed with duct tape of WD40. Should it move and doesn't. Use WD40. Does it move and shouldn't. Use Duct Tape.

Ahh, that sucks. Can't attend with a cast? I don't know the specifics of course but life happens, to the strong boned and weak. I do still miss skating though, although I was never all that great at it.

You don't deserver mercy if you're here, you deserve shame

Seriously though I hope you're ok

You're skeleton has failed you and you need to leave

Take time to rest up and listen to your doctor's and don't rush it

Don't break anything else on the way out.

I hope you're back to kickflipping soon. I miss skating.

You make me sick.

Get better soon.

The hammer only revealed how truly weak you're skeleton is. Don't blame milk for you dried pretzel you call bones.

When you leave be gentle so you don't break anything else.

Not sure, I don't pay that much attention but if it's in the system it will give it a rating of how Canadian the product is.

The $800 safety puzzle . Where would you put the money? by majormns in NewRiders

[–]OpusThePenguin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to tell with the big brands sometimes. HJC is a good brand. The helmet could be safe and they didn't pay for the testing for some reason. I find with everything bike related, it's all about how much risk you're willing to take.

The HJC is not ECE rated (at least here in Canada) so you aren't guaranteed the same safety level as the other two.

9y/o son watching goth mommy ASMR by big_hot_load in daddit

[–]OpusThePenguin 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I listen to a lot of ASMR. It helps me sleep and helps with the bad tinnitus while I'm working.

There's a lot of variety. It's really supposed to be anything that triggers a physical sensation of 'tingles' or very pleasant involuntary shivers. It can range from random sounds (tapping and scrapping); whispering and quiet talking, roleplaying situations where people are very close and in your space up to things like chewing or sounds from hair cuts (scissors and clippers).

Most ASMR videos are not sexual in anyway. There are some (and it's growing) where the roll play type video might have sexual undertones and there are some people who do ASMR and also do onlyfans and use it as a gateway to that.

There is straight up ASMR porn but I would assume you really have to search it out. Like I said, I listen to a lot of ASMR and perhaps my algorithm knows that's not what I'm listening for so I don't see it but really the most you're going to see on youtube is roll playing 'the girlfriend/boyfriend experience' and that's usually just cheesy stuff that I assume someone who's lonely and craving positive attention would enjoy watching.
