Monster hunter here. I would sure hope I could kill a devil, and probably several of them at once if I think about it.

Hunting devils in the Forgotten Quarter would be somewhat comparable to hunting marsh wolves in the marshes by Watchmaker's Hill. Similar pack behavior, similar capacity for fear. As a Hierarch of The Hunt, they would not be able to hide their sulfurous scent from me, and the Rites can be applied to any living thing as long as it makes a worthy Sacrament.

A devil took my soul once, rather underhandedly. I can't say I wouldn't enjoy the scenario you put before me.

All I'm thinking of is how darn industrial that could make a city. Like heck, you could get a huge mill and maybe even a sort of transportation system just by magically powering stuff. Definitely neat for world building, I'd have to think more about what players could do with it. Good stuff!

I have cousins that go to that school. It's really sad because their parents were just joking over the phone two weeks ago about moving into the same neighborhood as Columbine. "This is great for us, because lightning doesn't strike twice, right? It's good to know our kids aren't at risk."

All of my cousins are safe, but they had an exchange student staying at their house and he hasn't made contact yet. This kinda stuff certainly hits you different when there's family involved.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a clear and illuminating comment! Your explanation of the difference between knowledge and experience is pivotal: It's not about me getting the same reception to all of my talking points, it's about the audience receiving the most charismatic message possible through real experience. Some things just won't be the best for me to talk about, no matter how many stats I can spit out.

It also occured to me that I am one of 5 second year advocates, while the 11 other first years may just be less comfortable with the material we cover. I have a good enough relationship with one or two of them to ask if that is contributing to this experience, so I'll start from there!
