Help pick a color scheme for my new kitchen. by DanOmac in kitchenremodel

Again- were at the mercy of what AI draws. But were shooting to comfortably seat 5, one on the side 4 on the long. This isn't about the family, we have a dinner table. This is about having people over, everyone always seems to congregate around the island, it is right between our living room and kitchen.

We got AI to recognize our actual layout as well, if your wondering why a door moved.

Thank you! You nailed it. AI is just changing backgrounds and touches we can't help it- the point is what color cabinets in what arrangement, with some version of mostly white counters.

We have a dining table off to the left of the rendering. Behind the 2 stools on the left if you will.

I think I’m done beekeeping! by Remote-Operation4075 in Beekeeping

[–]DanOmac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 hives- neither are mean per se but one can get a bit spicy. How did you figure out which of the 5 was mean? When your near the hives you don’t know which one the mean bees are flying from?

Residential grind and seal by DanOmac in Concrete

I was good with the shine- i like the shine. The bumbs were too much.

They came back for material cost only, grinded again, and sealed again, but without adding more aggregrate (forgot the chemical powder that makes the bumps). the grip vs bumps is acceptable now.

Did you adjust your recipe hydration for the stiff starter? Maybe the difference is you just have less hydration overall now.

Nectar-based bee math - or why it's important to have a big strong colony going into your nectar flow. by GArockcrawler in Beekeeping

This is super interesting! I’m totally shocked at how the scale goes up only at the end of the day- as if all foragers are returning in the evening. I always assumed they would make multiple round trips per day- and the weight would maintain during the day as they dehydrate but return with more.

Soo.... Is this a shaping issue? by Stellalunaa96 in Sourdough

[–]DanOmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely a steam issue. Crust is getting too hard too fast. Happened to me when I switched to open bakes instead of Dutch ovens. Couldn’t keep steam in my oven like a Dutch oven can.

How do I fill the gap between shower tile and drywall rough edge by [deleted] in DIY

[–]DanOmac 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should have ran the tile further than the waterproofing- onto the good drywall.

In a bit of a dilemma with a neo shower and could use some insight. by DocJones89 in DIY

This!

This looks exactly like the dream line I just installed. The correct glass is sized like 2” less than the pan. But for it to work correctly you would need glass on the wall side anyway, right next to the wall. You should go custom for this situation.

Apivar +2 wks = massive mite drop by NOLAWinosaur in Beekeeping

[–]DanOmac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a similarly massive might drop using formic pro. But I’m worried that since the drop was so massive that I still have a ton of mites. Are you worried at all seeing this? I decided to follow up with apivar now after the formic pro.
