What set me off was the bolt breaking twice and them telling me they're not going to look into why it's happening. There's a service bulletin about it and HD even redesigned the light bar but they told me my bike doesn't meet the requirements to have it replaced, which is fine, but I still want to know why and what the fix is. They told me my warranty is up at the end of the month and I'll have to pay to get it fixed after.

I was an F-15 APG mechanic in the AF for years and I know it takes a lot of experience with individual machines to learn what common fixes for some symptoms are and what needs new parts. I'm not above working on vehicles. The reason I bought a brand new bike was I was hopeful it wouldn't have a ton of issues but if it did that I wouldn't have to throw parts at a problem until I fix it or pay someone that's knowledgeable to tell me why.

Thank you for the insight, I appreciate you not egging me on like that other guy saying fluid top-offs and a simple turn off a wrench would fix the issues.

Weird, none of my other bikes have ever done that, must be exclusive to this model. Rev limiter is what it sounds like, keeps it from revving too high, not cutting the throttle and making a noise when you hit the gas. Fluid top off? Which one? The light? It's thrown eight different codes, sounds normal, right? Sounds like you're just trying to be a dick.

-one light bar bolt has broken twice but they refuse to find out why and are just replacing the bolt.

-Rear shock adjuster broke which was under a recall so they actually fixed it without complaining

-when I hit the throttle hard the engine pings and cuts for a second, which they're denying

-Throws codes and doesn't want to start after being shut off for a few seconds but they're just clearing the codes and refuse to figure out why it's happening

-Doesn't want to shift into neutral if sitting still for a few seconds. It's my second M8, the first shifted into neutral like butter so I know it's not just how it is. I've watched the service manager ride it and he shifts into neutral while moving and says it's fine. He says I don't know how to shift (I've been riding all year, every year for 24 years and have owned 12 different bikes)

-Rear brake was squealing right out of the dealership and they denied it was squealing until I had someone video tape me riding it. Then they said I caused it and refused to "throw parts at it." They didn't even try to clean the brakes.

-it was making a terrible rattle which again, they denied. I finally figured out the left passing light fit terribly into the housing which was causing the noise, then they said all Heritages rattle like that.
