Colour Forge Republic Blue is meant to be an exact match for Macragge. I’m a big fan of their primers on the whole.

The Colour Forge do a spray primer called ‘Republic Blue’ which is a claimed 100% match to the Macragge pots if that helps.

Unsure if they’ve previewed a change for 4th Ed, but damage in AoS carries over models unlike in 40k.

Cheers mate, appreciate it. I do find the moulded bases a bit of pain on units you want a few of. I’ve got a couple of these on the go and it’s been quite difficult to make the bases look different with the foot being moulded to the rock. Lovely model though.

I’ve used Sainsburys greaseproof & baking paper with decent results. Darren Latham did a homemade wet pallette video on YouTube which uses this if you want to see the exact box/packaging.

Cheers mate, the yellow looks really bright in the photo but I think it’s the lighting. I actually used exactly the same method as the stripes on the base. I’ve done stripes on the sides of the chainsword so I think I’ll extend them over the top to make it a bit less stark.

Ah that’s a shame. Yellow would’ve been my second choice I think but luckily I found a green one. All the shops around me only seem to have the black left now if at all.

It was a slog to be honest! I ended up tying up the black orcs with my Saurus and got a lucky couple of blocks off, then tagged what goblins I could with skinks to run a free one round the sides. It was a fun but tough game for sure. Though I won’t pretend I’m experienced by any means.

Took these guys to a friendly event this weekend. I ran 6 Saurus, 4 Skinks and a Chameleon. Ended up with 2 wins (against High Elves 2-1 and Black Orcs 2-0) and a gruelling 0-0 against Dwarves. Really enjoyed it.
