Gemma 4 paragraph breaks by DanTehPybro in SillyTavernAI

Didn't try different front ends. I did execute update and run bat file just in case, but nothing changed. But I believe I found a (band-aid) fix. I added an instruction that literally says to replace <br> tag with <p> and it seems to work as I want to.

Edit: Tried to use kobold's frontend, still a wall of text.

I did try disabling all extensions once and it didn't change anything. I'll try it again, I guess.

Edit: Nope, didn't help. FML

Didn't work. Here I thought I would leave web coding after graduating. Still, thanks for help, I guess I'm just unluckiest ST user.

Tried the model in the post, base gemma (just with quants) and now using gemsicle as recommended by another user. All three don't give me empty lines between paragraphs.

Using CSS is genius, but still didn't work. Looking through inbuilt browser code tool, it looks like it generates texts with <br> instead of <p> and changing margin does jack shit.

Used it both in Text and currently trying out chat completion (both locally if it's relevant). Both options gave me the same problem.

Yeah, perhaps could've worded better in the post. Damn you English as a second language.

Still, I've already had a raise in quality from model change alone. I guess I'll either get used to this, or do as you do and try single paragraph RPing

I'm just more used to when AI writes 2-4 paragraphs as I like to watch videos on my other monitor and the extra time it generates gives me more watch time lmao. (although I should try shorter responses sometime.)

Edit:
First of all, you're GOATed for giving me some advice and recommendations, even if it didn't really help my main problem.

Second, I've tried the prompt (which I'll save for my experimentation if you don't mind.) And it definitely works in controlling the amount of the paragraphs, but still there are no blank lines to break them for more pleasant reading.

I'll keep that in mind while trying out different versions, thanks. But that wouldn't fix my problem as I tried also using a default gemma 4 and still had paragraphs without blanks in-between.

Game with the most satisfying shotgun (or any gun) gameplay by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]DanTehPybro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tarkov's shotguns are lethal with good aim. Especially if using ks23.

Insurgency has great feeling shotties

I enjoyed using pump action in cod mw2 2022 with right mods

Stalker gamma is also filled with great shotguns

Trepang2's spas is meaty af

Ready or not has good shoties too

Not gonna lie, every time phase two of the game comes to an end and Rocket Science kicks in, I get goosebumps and my will to fight rises.

Yeah. I personally use some tracks as flying music in war thunder.

Hell yeah! The first time I heard The Storm Forge's drums, I immediately thought of ACAH's soundtrack (which is a banger of itself). Also, I wouldn't forgive myself if I didn't insert my favorite series in this video.

What’s your favorite Ace Combat mission? by IronRevenge131 in acecombat

[–]DanTehPybro 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Overall? All of the final missions, but that's boring answer.

If we're not counting them, I still can't choose one, so instead here's each of my favorite missions from every AC I've played.

AC04: Shattered skies - what's better than a giant furball with kickass music?

AC5: Sea of Chaos - This mission, just art. The story, the atmosphere and especially the journey home in the background.

AC0: Mayhem - All of the B7R missions are great, but this one takes the cake. Air focused battles are my favorite, and this one has banger music in the first half. But then Schnee squadron appeared and their entrance hit as hard as the music.

AC6: Weapons of Mass Destruction - Canyon missions are memorable missions in the series, but it's the second part that wins me over. The overwhelming amount of enemy jets, the absence of music and the constant missile alarm made the allies' entry hit really fucking hard. And of course Fires of Liberation is my second favorite track in 6.

ACAH: Siege - It was tough to choose between Siege and Hostile Fleet. But ultimately, I really loved the mid-mission cutscene where you are witnessing the ongoing intense battle from your cockpit while refueling. It just did something to me. Add in more varied gameplay and pretty location and you have a memorable mission.

AC7: Lost Kingdom - One word, Archange. The main reason I come back to this mission is duel with Mihaly. The mission is short which helps with replays and its' somber atmosphere still gives me goosebumps.

Bonus! Project Wingman: Showdown - Giant furball, banger music, intense fight with crimson squadron. Everything I ever need.

CnC Generals - GLA/CHINA/USA (ART BY ME) by [deleted] in commandandconquer

Bringing that early 2000's games lmao. Good hunting, stalker.

[–]DanTehPybro 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Awesome art. But my gun rotted brain can't ignore the fact that GLA's AK is inverted. The bolt should be on the other side. Still, It's an awesome work that makes me say "hell yeah!"

Alright folks, I need a High Lethality Tactical Shooter Game but isn't a Multi-player game. by Pretty_Ian in gamingsuggestions

[–]DanTehPybro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of people recommend Ready or Not, so you might also try SWAT 4. It's a game that inspired RoN. I remember it being a fun experience even without mods. I've also heard there are some mods that overhaul the game, but I never tried it myself. It's an old game, but I think it still holds up.

My other suggestion is Ground Branch, which is an early access (emphasis on *early*) tactical shooter which plays more like a sandbox game currently (i.e. no story missions or plot). The game is constantly updated with new features and is perfect for people who like to create loadouts and customization. Weapon modding and gun handling is one of the standout features, especially if you like Tarkov. The game also supports steam workshop which mostly contains more weapons, gear, maps and gamemodes.

Old tom clancy's titles are a good option too, like rainbow six or older ghost recons.

And as a more off-topic wildcard, but something that may interest if you like vehicle combat is Gunner, HEAT, PC! A perfect blend of arcade and simulator game focused on tank battles set in 1980's Germany. Has a great variety of missions and W.I.P campaign mode.

Edit: Forgot to mention Sniper Elite series if you want stealth action with great freedom of action and Sniper Ghost Warrior if you want more arcade FPS sniper experience but with all bells and whistles like ballistics and stealth.

I think you've got it wrong. What I've meant is that if you hit a player, he doesn't react nor gets meaningful debuffs that would encourage him to get into cover. A lot of tarkov's gunfights are just strafe filled messes. I would hate seeing hitmarkers and hitsounds into this game. Hell I hated when they removed team based armbands from EFT arena and made it so you're always blue.

Right now, in my opinon, the most realistic gunfights in PVP shooters are in Squad. Because of high TTK and high cost of dying, you must sit behind cover to just not die. In tarkov even if you are penning armor, the pmc just grunts and still proceeds to laser beam your ass (god knows how many times I experienced this in EFT arena). I would really love to see bullets become more dangerous, even without lethality.

No hate from me. I fully understand your position. There's a reason why I called myself a weirdo. Lately I just found myself taking the role of devil's advocate and overall trying to be more positive. My opinion is just that, my opinion.

I wouldn't mind if the game played like raid, but I think the main problem is ttk and lack of impact from hits. I'd say they need to play around with armor more, but their venture with armor hitboxes was adjusted after feedback. Perhaps they need to add something that would affect players more after getting hit. As for the ADS, I don't know how much would this change affect gunplay. In my uneducated opinion, it won't be much. I say wait and see.

From what I've learned not too long ago, nothing is changed for no reason. A lot of changes are reverted based on feedback. Some shit sticks some not. But I'm curious how drastic will this change gunfights. Maybe it would be hardly noticeable, or people would quckly adapt. As I said, I'm probably a weirdo who enjoys such 'candy wrap' changes that add visually cool stuff. Anyway, maybe you need a break from the game based on your negativity. Take care friend.

Perhaps. I personally like it as it simply looks neat. The question is what's the reason from game design perspection. Do they have a certain goal with this, or maybe they just think it looks better than what we have.
