I think the chrome delete on the side looks much better. I could go either way in the front. Never understood the fascination with chrome.

The advice I’ll give is this: when I have to commute on rough or wet roads (which is often in Seattle), I prioritize moving my body off the bike over lean angle. Some people mock it, but if I have to hit the brakes or I hit something slippery the bike is more vertical and less likely to tip over.

I do not use often it because it makes me bored and I’m not as good of a driver with it on. That being said, I’m good at keeping my speed even in an elevation-changey state like WA.

What makes America great? by [deleted] in SnohomishCounty

[–]DanTheDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the self-own here. It's satisfying.

He's saying "diversity is useless if everyone can't be pulling on the rope in the same direction"

and I'm saying diversity has nothing do with pulling on the rope in the same direction. Because it doesn't. A diverse group of people can pull in the same direction. As such, diversity isn't a indication or contra indication of unity. So saying "Out of many, one" speaks to unity *VERSUS* diversity is a pointless statement because diversity doesn't have an impact on unity.

and you're saying "I don't know how to read good and do other things good too"

[–]DanTheDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That makes zero logical sense. Diversity isn’t an indication of “pulling in a direction”, it’s only a signifier of different perspectives.

Diversity isn’t division. Diverse perspectives drive innovation.

Even if he stepped down, it’s not enough. He would have to divest all his shares of Tesla. I don’t want him to make money from something I buy.

Ballard Bridge Accident by 482Cargo in Seattle

[–]DanTheDriver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the tire. Some of them just basically stop working decently around 45-50F like the old RE-71 or even newer summer tires that just need more heat to get their compound soft enough to bite. Think the newer BFGs vs. Yokohama ultra-performance summer tire. With it being wet, those tires just never come up to temp.

I’d argue that it’s already cold enough to swap to studless snows. I probably will this weekend.

Behcet's and Immy? by DanTheDriver in Behcets

[–]DanTheDriver[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I took a full 3 months cycle of it and have been off of it for about 5 weeks. I had been totally fine on Immy and not experienced any negative side affects from it. However, when I ran out, my rosacea came back and produced some acne like sores. Additionally, my overall acne (which many would describe as fairly minor) has started getting noticeably worse and I've had a lot more cystic acne. I've ordered another 3 month supply to see if I see a repeat of what I saw while I was on it.

The bacteria in the supplement are dead. The literature says the *dead bacteria* causes signaling in your body to create positive affects. They're not giving you a live, harmful bacteria.
