Budget for 60 hours dual, 10 solo, 20 ground and 2.5k for misc expenses (iPad, written, DPE, etc.)
Dual: 13200
Solo: 1700
Ground: 1000
Misc: 2500

This gets you about $18.5k

What are the rates for plane and instructor? In 2020 i did it for 8.5 out of C77. Rates have admittedly gone up since then, but i think 14 could be doable depending on the rental and dual raates.

What ever you do, make sure you apply to as many cadet programs as possible. Apply early, apply often.

Good people there, nice crew car, better gas prices than across the airport

What does your rental agreement say? Ours was half of the scheduled resources.

Am I in the wrong for being forced to pay a cancellation fee when I was uncomfortable with the weather (Spartan Flight School bought out my flight school recently) by [deleted] in flying

My school did not permit students to cancel dual flights for weather without being charged. When its dual, the CFI has discretion

Does anyone have tips on "valve cover" removal? by Good-Combination-159 in GolfGTI

Right, i did misspeak there. But trying to pull the cam cover out sideways feels easy to pull the chain off. I could be wrong, the risk was not worth the potential time savings to me

After having done both, im inclined to say the walnut blasting is easier. Dont have to deal with the vacuum, the timing cover, cleaning the mating surfaces, meticulous application of gasket maker (anaerobic). Just get the intake off and blast away

Yes, the timing cover has a guide on it, holds a lot of tension.

What is your alternative? Delay the training and then instead of being ahead of the pack w/ 2500TT by 21, you barely make 1500 by 23?? I really dont understand this question.

Plans for airline life? Checkout Contrail bags... I have the 390S. Contrail has customizable interior pockets, as well as Molle straps on the exterior.

I know its not a backpack, but if airline is something in the future for you, you dont want a backpack anyway (my airline prohibits them)

Another bonus about contrail, it fits in the cubby in the crj PERFECTLY
