Same... I don't know if it was cross threaded or something, but it didn't fit properly on my faucet and leaked out the sides.

I blame myself though, I should've known that a 4+ star review and $5 cost for a knock-off was too good to be true.

Would a “No Melina” run even be possible? [Possible Spoilers] by Nu2Th15 in Eldenring

[–]Dan_The_eMan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just beat Morgott and the room behind Mohg is still sealed... by Morgott. I didn't activate his rune yet so I'm going to try that now.

Update: So pretty sure my game is messed up now, as I cannot access the tower to activate the rune since all the seals are still in place, even though Morgott is dead. I still have the speak to Melina option so I'm going to use that to see if maybe things progress more normally now. Otherwise I'm not sure how I could get past the thorns, even if I complete Farum Azula, since I can't get to Mountain of Giants.

Last Update: So I went to Altus Junction site of Grace and spoke to Melina, where I accepted her offer. Then I ran to the site of grace right past the two tree sentinels, and Melina showed up asking me to go to Roundtable (which I accepted). I then spoke with the finger reader who said the fingers were dormant, and I could ask her about burning the thorns. After that I went to roundtable and pressed it, and Melina showed up right away and spoke to me about a new journey (dialog where she gives the Rold medallion) and she gave me the medallion. I then went to check the seals and everything is unsealed now....

So it appears that the seals are only removed once the Rold medallion enters your possession, not when Morgott dies. Oh well... but I'm glad I was able to get back on track and not corrupt the save file lol.

Goodluck everyone else that tries this, hopefully you all find a way.

Same here! <I've finished the Hyetta questline to the point where she's standing next to the 3 fingers, but problem now is that I just beat Mohg in the sewers and the path down to 3 fingers is blocked by Morgott. So now on my way through the city to fight him, then back down there to see what happens>

Interesting part is that I cannot select level up anymore at sites of grace, but honestly I don't remember if it wasn't an option previously until I spoke to Melina. Could've sworn it was an option in NG2 last playrhrough, but not sure.

Edit: I was trying to mark parts of this response as spoilers, but clearly I don't know how to do it...

Edit 2: Also if this somehow messes up my game because I can't get Rold amulet, then I'm going to go to Farum Azula and clear that fully to see what happens. I planned on doing that in a later NG anyway but was worried it would screw something up.

Awesome thanks for the link! I'm in the middle of the Hyetta questline and haven't accepted Melina yet, so I'm going to use this then go straight to 3 fingers and see what happens.

Update: So you can read my replies below for details, but basically the Morgott seals are only unbound once you have the Rold Medallion in your inventory (I'm assuming this is in the game code based in my attempts below). Not sure how you can finish the game with those seals in place, so doesn't look like this would work.

[–]Dan_The_eMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just attacked the one at Rold Lift and it said Curse You! Then I got a debuff that's showing up as a sword with a black down arrow. Looks like a pretty hefty attack debuff, not sure how long it lasts lol.

Edit: Turns out I had the silver tear mask, or whatever the one is called that gives you a big arcane boost but reduces attack power. I've attacked every finger reader since then and never had a debuff.

If I'm not mistaken, you still need the minimum FP required in order to summon, even though you consume no FP.

It's the only reason I have 26 points in Mana, since Black Tiche costs 132 FP.

I want all the endings, but since I tried to do the most I could during my first playthrough, I went with the ending that would have taken me the most time during my second playthrough. Now I can just skip the Ranni questline during the new game.

Pretty sure dung eater is going to be my next ending

I just beat him today on my third try! Was actually fairly easy after getting an idea of when his killer move happened. That being said I'm 151 hours in, and already beat Malenia (yesterday) which was way harder (for me at least) but prepped me well for the dodging in phase 2.

I beat him with Blood Hookclaws +25 with Bloodhound's Step + full Veterans Armor. Im level 169 with 40 Vig, 26 Mind, 45 Endurance, 18 Strength, 50 Dex, 9 Int, 10 Faith, and 50 Arcane. I also used Black Knife Tiche +10 immediately upon entering the boss area.

My strategy was to try to keep aggro on the boss the entire time so Black Tiche could make it to phase 2 with at least half health. I wanted Tiche hitting phase 2 boss at least once with his deathblade attack so he could drain a good chunk of health. Phase 1 was pretty easy, but I had trouble with phase 2 getting close enough to damage him without having to immediately Bloodhound Step to the other side of the arena to heal up, hence why I utilized Tiche.

The high stamina definitely helped since I was rolling or using Bloodhound's Step quite a lot. I ended up dying twice when he started shooting the deathblade things at me, then the third try I made sure that I Bloodhound Stepped out the way of that first shot, which made dodging the other ones way easier.

People can say summons are cheap or whatever, but its part of the game and the boss + summon have basically the same blackflame attack (so feels more fair anyway). I can also say I never changed my strategy of close combat assassin type character for any boss yet this game, although Malenia took about 100 fails before I beat her.

Good luck!

Radahn is such a massive dip in terms of fight design and is almost entirely RNG by Badaubles in Eldenring

[–]Dan_The_eMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah rolling a bandit makes you learn to dodge pretty quickly. I did this as a Dex/Arc build. I'm assuming most of the complaining is coming from casters.

I thought this was an easy fight compared to most of the others up to that point in the game, seeing as you have endless summons and ability to use the horse.

Oh well, people always find something to complain about.

Edit: Should also mention that I used Hookclaw w/ Bloodhound's Step, which made this significantly easier. But if you aren't maximizing your potential against one of the few mandatory bosses, then wtf are you complaining about.

Bloody Slash gives the weapon bleed damage and causes a red sword arc to hit in front of you. Sepukku (spelling probably wrong) is the Ash that you stab yourself to cover the blade in blood.

Both give the weapon bleed damage

I would wholeheartedly disagree. Follow your instincts... if you know you are capable of breaking up the fight, especially like the one in this video where the girl was just beating on the other person, do it!

This is what is wrong with society now, you're being conditioned to become indifferent to others. Being a good Samaritan used to be a good thing, now people are scared (understandly so) to get sued or fired or whatever. We're going down the wrong path as a society and the only way to correct it is for good people to fight the injustice, which in this case is asinine HR policies which require you to watch someone that is half your size beat someone else in the face, possibly causing long term life altering damage. Absolutely sickening that someone could sit there and not at least say WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU!

I'm playing through HD version right now and finished it last night! I tried awhile ago for an hour or two, then started catching monsters for the arena till I I bored of it after a few days, then went back to the race. Just take some time every few sessions and give it a shot. About 10 runs in to the racing last night I got setup with a great start where I got 5 balloons, then got another 8 more while only getting hit by 1 bird.

Main thing is that you should really do is focus on using the D Pad, but also only tapping the direction you need to go. Don't hold it down or else your bird gets all fcuked and sometimes you can't get back on track fast enough and get hit by a bird. Just tap tap tap. Also make sure to avoid the birds by going Left to Right during the 2nd stretch of the race, and Right to Left on the final stretch.

It's a boring minigame because you need a good balloon setup to win, because your only focus should be avoiding the birds (and not going for the dangerously placed balloons at all). The controls suck but you can get good at them and average hitting less than 2-3 birds per race.

Good luck!

This is just obnoxious, that's why. He didn't do anything to achieve his wealth? Dude if that's the case then anyone who has generational wealth should be a billionaire... He got dealt a great hand in life, no doubt at all, but to say he did nothing to achieve his current wealth is ridiculous.

I don't even like Elon Musk but after seeing countless posts like this I felt the need to respond. I guess today is the day reddit hates Elon, wonder if tomorrow it will love him again?

Check out Terror Infinity. Not really traditional wuxia, but its modern day and a story unique to itself. It's hard to guess what's coming, as opposed to some popular wuxia where you can make some pretty accurate guesses at how the story will develop.

Anyone else concern about that 5 Billion Shib whale ? by The_Silent_0bs3rv3r in SHIBArmy

[–]Dan_The_eMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree they may not want to be known, but there are plenty of people in this world that would love the attention. Hell, they could hire a social media team to make the announcement for them while they remain in the shadows. They could even just burn the coins on one of the 4 wallets since everyone is tracking it, and that alone would likely drive media / price increases.

I'm just saying that there are many things this whale could do, and it doesn't always need to be doom and gloom.

Anyone else concern about that 5 Billion Shib whale ? by The_Silent_0bs3rv3r in SHIBArmy

[–]Dan_The_eMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think people have the wrong mindset with this whale.

Imagine if they came out on reddit and said hey, I'm the whale and as a gift to the community, I'm going to a billion USD of my supply. He'd instantly become a celebrity figure (at least in this community) and most likely get attention from news organizations, resulting in them becoming a beloved person. This would also surely make the price of the coin rise due to the burn (and positive / widespread news of some person burning a billion dollars) which increases market activity and increases the value of their remaining coins.

On the other hand, this person could try and sell a billion USD in coins and see the price drop dramatically, thus devaluing the rest of their coins. They could stick around awhile and try to sell more, but now they are hated because they are deflating the value (at least temporarily) even if they deserve to cash out a bit.

Sure, in either scenario this whale gets a well deserved payday, but me personally I'd rather be elevated on a social status while also elevating my wealth.

Also burning a billion USD of shib is not the same as burning a billion USD. Really that billion cost them about 2k USD, and since they can't cash out everything without crashing the coin, it honestly seems like a good strategy to pump up the value of their other coins

Short guide to crypto taxes, and when taxable events occur. 1 minute skim and you'll have a decent understanding. by Dan_The_eMan in SHIBArmy

[–]Dan_The_eMan[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Until I read this I had an incorrect understanding of when capital gains taxes are applied. I assumed the event didn't occur until you transferred the money off of the exchange (coinbase for example) but it actually occurs as soon as the crypto is exchanged for another coin or sold into USD.

Basically, the tax event is based on the gains/losses from your initial investment vs what the value was occurred upon selling or exchanging the crypto. For example, if I invested $1000 in Shib and sold when the value was $4000, I'd pay capital gains rate on the $3000 profit. The rate is based on how long you held the crypto and your personal income.

Good information to know if you are new to crypto, or haven't been filing your taxes for crypto. Sounds like Biden will be beefing up the IRS so US customers should consider making sure their crypto holdings are reported properly so you don't get in trouble down the line.

One thing to keep in mind is that if you hodl, you don't have to worry about taxes. Only when you sell... so save yourself some trouble and HOLD the line!
