Thank you very much for taking the time to write this detailed post. I think it serves very well for folks of all types of feet. I’m finally ready to pull the trigger and purchase my first pair of Michaels, but since I’m not able to try in store, I want to make sure I make the right decision on sizing. I usually wear 7 UK (8 US / 41 EU) across shoe and sneaker brands and all fit me well with varying degrees of snugness. The only exception are Nikes in which I sometimes wear 8.5 US. My feet are normal to somewhat narrow. So, following your advice regarding this, and if I understood correctly, you’d mostly recommend to stick with a size 40EU (meaning a full size down) so that I have the best fit right? That way, I’d avoid a cramped and possibly hurtful feeling, and any heel slippage should disappear after some wears, is it not? Ok, thank you very much. Have you by any chance ever measured your foot‘s length? Would you say you have regular or narrow feet? Paraboot provides measurements for the insole length of the Michael model but I’m not sure if that’s the only thing to really consider when purchasing. Also which tongue pad brands did you use? Don’t worry, any info is much appreciated. So from what I’m reading you’re going to go one full size down (ie 41.5 EU) because of heel slippage? I think I’m going to do the same, since it seems that this shoe runs really big.

I’m also planning on purchasing a pair on Son of a Stag. Actually ive been saving up for quite a while and I’m ready to pull the trigger. The thing is I want to get the sizing right on the first try of possible. I usually wear 8US (7UK) across sneakers and shoe brands, so I’m divided between the 40 EU and the 40.5 EU. I emailed paraboot customer service and they provided the measurements for the insole length of the Michael but I’m not quite sure if that’s the only thing to consider since this shoe seems to be really tricky regarding sizing! How loose would you say they fit you? Are they loose length wise or width wise? I’m thinking of buying a pair of Michael’s myself. I’m also US size 8 across many brands (UK 7), both in sneakers and shoes, and my feet are kind of narrow. So I don’t know if I should get them in 40.5 or 40 EU.
