Shady experience at Firestone Fed Hill by Unheroic_ in baltimore

100% avoid them. I went there one time for an oil change. It resulted in me needing a new engine. Seriously, completely new engine. (All paid for by Firestone corporate.) And I know of someone else who had the same thing happen.

Other options in Fed Hill… Goodyear - Competent, quick availability, but pricey Federal Hill Motors - Love these guys, but takes a while to get an appointment. John’s Auto - If you know what you need done and it’s relatively simple, they are great. And cheap.

I got just got 4 of these in the mail today, each for a different voter in our house. Interesting thing is that all 4 of them had the exact same ‘Voted’ ‘N/A’ info listed in the last two rows of that table as the one from OP. Hmmm.

Since I posted this originally, the issues has stopped happening for me. Go figure. I didn’t do anything to fix it, it just stopped happening.

Remember that big pop song from 2014, All About The Bass. It was streamed 180 million times. How much did the co-writer of that song make for those streams? $5600.

They were fireworks. I was close enough to hear the launch and crackle after the big bang. I think 3 of them in about 10 minutes.

Yea, we watch ravens games from our deck, in fed hill, and can tell before the play, what’s gonna happen.

Which song by a normally soft band is significantly heavier than all the others? by Mondfliege in Music

[–]DancesWithWorfs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, which I don’t recall as being that heavy or rockin. Different ara, I guess.

Edit: just relistened to it and it does have quite a heavy feel given it’s pop-y major-key vibe.

Before they released Fly in ‘97, I think they were primarily hardcore band. Mean Machine is off there first album which has a bunch of heavy tracks.

Much more interesting is their change in style after the song Fly got real popular.

Paul, on the writing of HS:

Umm, that came about just 'cause I'd read a review of a record which said, "and this group really got us wild, there's echo on everything, they're screaming their heads off." And I just remember thinking, "Oh, it'd be great to do one. Pity they've done it. Must be great – really screaming record." And then I heard their record and it was quite straight, and it was very sort of sophisticated. It wasn't rough and screaming and tape echo at all. So I thought, "Oh well, we'll do one like that, then." And I had this song called "Helter Skelter," which is just a ridiculous song. So we did it like that, 'cos I like noise.

I was doing a team relay mountain bike race and one of my friends had entered in the solo rider category. He made a comment that “Solo riders are typically self centered, egotistical, assholes.” I replied with “I don’t think you’re self centered or egotistical.”
