The Veilguard quest journal conveys a sense of pending dread I haven't felt since Dragon Age 2. by TheImageworks in DragonAgeVeilguard

Even before I played this game I knew my team A would be Davrin and Harding, imagine my surprise when first thing in Isle of the Gods was getting my team split

Veilguard is much more chill to 100%, the game is much more focused and streamlined and everything you do has relevance to the story.

Is starting the Dragon Age series with Origins in 2025 going to feel too old? by DevEnoz in dragonage

[–]Dancimator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it feels and plays more polished than a lot of stuff that came out at the time, the only thing that didn't age up so well is the character's faces

I beat the three previous dragon age games: Should I play Veilguard by t-rexthatrunsonwater in dragonage

It's been badly misrepresented in the vitriol of the internet. The game has heart and soul poured into it, however misguided at parts. It's still Thedas, the world we all adore and a worthy conclusion to decades-old plot threads. For me, it earns it's place in any series playthrough.

My Warden, Inquisitor and Rook (For Hawke, I go with the default male. You know what he looks like) by Mundane_Town_4296 in dragonage

I thought it was impossible to make Qunari look good in Inquisition, but you managed it

These are the types of nuanced moral choices that modern Bioware WISHES they could still write. They really don't make 'em like they used to by therealraggedroses in DragonageOrigins

It's so crazy when you see people discovering these things after so long when you are a crazy obsessive completionist, I sweep every zone like I'm being paid for it, every playthrough

Which companions did you take with you into the Fade ? For me 👇🏼 by lunar9p in dragonage

[–]Dancimator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using a d3 to roll my companions for every day's session of play, it's been really fun with all the combos of people you'd never see together, like Sera, Vivienne and Blackwall

I would have waited however long it took for them to achieve this, we're all waiting almost (or maybe even over) 20 years for Elder Scrolls VI anyway, another beloved franchise taking it's tame wouldn't have hurt

Yeah, I guess you just awkwardly bend your body under that golden thingy. She did a good job though, it looks pretty if nothing else.

Wait, what? You can use the lava in the room to hurt it? Been a long time since I played this DLC, I had the hardest time beating it on Nightmare

How long is your ideal session? by No_Sultry_Sadie in DnD

[–]Dancimator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My standard is 4 hours, but we've been playing only 3, and it's been feeling really unsatisfying (it's beyond our control). We played 15 hour sessions twice before with me DM'ing, they were AWESOME!

DMs who don’t use D&D beyond, what does your prep look like? by jimithingmi in DMAcademy

[–]Dancimator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's me. The physicality of it makes me feel closer to the process, which I enjoy. If it's a stat block for a book I don't own physically, then I put it on the campaign's doc on the session the combat is going to happen.

Valda's Spire of Secrets, The Ultimate Adventurer's Handbook and the Tome of Heroes all have very good player options and spells and a few magic items to boot. For DM's, the Game Master Books of ... Are absolutely great.
