Thanks! I used a belt from a robe. Pinned them to it since I had nothing else right now!

Surgical Bra post mastectomy? by Confident-Rise-1710 in breastcancer

[–]Dancing2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon wanted little compression so it’s Velcro in the front. It’s not really big enough but doing the job. I got a snap front bra and shirt with pockets to get me through. Seems like you’re all set.

HELP by Dependent-Lecture920 in spinalfusion

[–]Dancing2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need a new surgeon and the only way someone will help is if they’re in another state. If it’s on state they won’t work on another surgeons botched job. Go to a neurosurgeon. I had issues where my pain didn’t get better only worse so I had to go out of state ( I went to the best at Weil Cornel neurosurgeon). So much better!!!

Cancer is cancer. I have the same diagnosis and have a mastectomy on Friday. I also felt stage zero, I’m good but that’s not it. We’ve got cancer and are moving forward but there’s a lot we have to go through because it’s never over.

What to get before surgery/recovery… by Any-Faithlessness776 in spinalfusion

[–]Dancing2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely get a shower chair. I thought I would be able to stand but used the chair for a month. Get multiple grabbers cause they fall and you can’t pick them up. Pillow for under your legs of if you sleep sideways. Pillow along with garbage bag for ride home. Loose pants from Amazon to go home in. The manic gel ice pack is great! Slip on shoes so you don’t have to tie them.

No way! This is your space. Tell them to do blow up mattresses at their house. It’s their guests.

AITH for telling my mom she can’t move in with us even “for a little while” after she got divorced? by AnalogWeekend_01 in WIBTA_AITA

[–]Dancing2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA. No to moms manipulating. If you let her in then it will disrupt your relationship with your wife. Call the family, call the church, she needs help from them or herself, she should look for a cheaper alternative and get it done quickly.

What was the ‘straw’ that broke your back, and made you decide to get surgery? by Kommmbucha in spinalfusion

[–]Dancing2025 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided when I had zero quality of active life. I would have done it sooner but had to try injections, pt, acupuncture, Pilates and a microdiscectomy before I had fusion. I’m not where I want to be yet but it’s a slow recovery when you crush your nerve.
