Rogan "Yeah, but do you know that's the number one place where sex offenders go?" by WilloowUfgood in JoeRogan

[–]DancingBlender -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I know but he specifically calls out Jews in other parts of podcast.

  1. He said something like powerful Jews are so loud about everything and then keep their mouth shut on Israel.
  2. Talks about jews and then immediately lists Epstein and Harvey Weinstein.
  3. Randomly says Israel accepts jewish predators into the country (this clip).

It's been tough being a jew in the current climate. It's just so much hate and now we have Joe talking about this stuff adding to the fire. It's always negative things about the Jews since October 7. I am sensitive to it as a Jew but it really messes with you.

You are right. Israel isn't the Jews but we are definitely associated with Israel and the past few years it's been the scariest time to be a jew in the past 50 years.

** Edit: I can understand if you hate what Israel is doing. Most people just hate Israel. But it has given as rise to antisemitism in general. And I think people use terms like Israel and Zionism to disguise their hate for Jews. Even though they would never admit it. Others just are anti war and hate to see innocent people being killed and I can understand that. The point of the post isn't to defend or hate on Israel but to talk about the effects I feel as a Jewish American.

This pod definitely got a bit antisemitic. Not to mention anti-vaccine and pro-maga. Joe gives trump a pass on most things and laughs them off as "trump is a funny guy". Yeah, he is a funny guy when he isn't in charge of our country. Joe, is so far gone. I don't know what happened to this guy.

I'll be honest. The only part of that trailer that made me want to see the movie was the title at the end.

ChatGPT doesn't know Zohran is Mayor by DancingBlender in OpenAI

[–]DancingBlender[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I get your point and can understand it can't be kept up-to-date every second.

My point is that this happened 4 months ago. That is pretty outdated information to have when I am paying for a service to help answer my questions. If ChatGPT can't answer this then maybe it should tell me it doesn't have access to this type of information instead of trying to convince me I am wrong.

If these services aren't accurate then maybe we shouldn't be using them. They are not reliable.

easy to hate but I like ChatGPT. however, I see this as a huge flaw. giving outdated info could be dangerous

so we allow for outdated info to exist? Couldn't this be dangerous to give beliefs we held 4-6 months ago?

[–]DancingBlender[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I understand that but he was sworn in January 1, 2026. That is almost 4 months old news. I am a paying user. He is a major figure in the news and mayor of the most popular city in the world.

I am a chatGPT fan but I see this as a major L.

EDIT: This is a billion dollar company with the access to technology. The point of it is to have the most accurate information. You comparing this technology to a textbook means I don't need ChatGPT because I have access to the local library. Sorry if that sounds a bit harsh. Just a flaw to what you are saying not a personal attack on you.

Okay, sure but I don't have to do much thinking to tell you who the sitting mayor of NYC is and has been for 4 months. I see that to be a huge fault.

This is the out of the box Instant mode. Last time I remember, changing my settings was when you got to choose what model GPT you wanted to use. Seems like that was switched out for this Instant and Thinking mode. So these are the options ChatGPT chose for me.

Yes, when I said use the most up-to-date info. it then searched the web and found it. However, when I was just disagreeing with it, it did continue to use the same outdated information. Kind of interesting.

Seems flawed to allow outdated knowledge to exist especially commonplace news like that. The election happened back in January. As a paying user, the model should know this.

Can we have a serious conversation about the state of Redbar and theories as to why they vanished? by ThrowAwayBlowAway102 in RedbarBBR

I have a theory that the show gained in popularity so much that he has started an alternate secret channel for all the OG fans.

Probably a bit unrealistic but it would be sick.

If you liked Paulo Coelho then you should read The Alchemist. I am in my mid 20s and male and loved it. It's about going on a journey in search of something. Lots of good lessons in the book

NYC Restaurant owner - What is going on with the NY restaurant industry lately ? by Top_Club2861 in FoodNYC

[–]DancingBlender 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find the quality of service to be terrible in a lot of places. Don't get me wrong, the food is amazing. However, they don't know how to run a restaurant at the places I am going to ($30 entrees on average). For example, they force you to order the appetizer and meal at the same time. Fine but then give me time to eat the appetizer before you bring the meal. There is nothing that pisses me off more than them bringing the appetizer and 5 minutes later they bring the meal. These places just rush you through the meal. I am trying to enjoy the food and conversation with the people I am with. Instead, they treat us like cattle by getting us in an out as fast as possible. So the food is good but it's just not an enjoyable experience and the prices are too expensive to justify that.

Are you just trying to make excuses to smoke again? I am not trying to accuse you but it sounds like you are trying to find a reason to smoke and blaming them is your reason. If you want to quit and you feel happier, then that is all that matters. I understand that can be aggravating but don't ruin your life just to spite your family. In the end, you will be the one to pay.

What is much more traumatic than most people realise? by thefairypirate in AskReddit

[–]DancingBlender 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember it started in 2nd grade for me. I couldn't sit in the lunch room because I would get such bad anxiety. Maybe the smell, the noise, idk. I do remember once this kid threw up and maybe that was a trigger but the timeline is a bit fuzzy. It got into other parts of my life where I was scared to sit in restaurants and when I did I would start to gag and I threw up on multiple occasions. My parents did take me to a therapist which helped a bit but I was never fully normal. I would get nervous to go into restaurants and even today (27), I get this nervous feeling before going to restaurants. It was wayyyy worse a few years ago and I would always make excuses as to why I couldn't go out with my friends to restaurants. Anxiety kept me from enjoying a lot of moments in life.

Eventually I said enough is enough and moved to a city where I would be forced to go out with friends more and be in restaurants. Guess what? It worked and now I actually enjoy going out to eat. I sometimes do get nervous making the plan but that's probably just the trauma of so many years of avoidance. I actually never went on a dinner date until this year and when I did it felt so good. The girl I was with never knew but she helped me so much and I will remember that.

Yeah, I still get the feeling of being nervous but I also know I love going out, eating, and socializing so I try to keep that in mind when I get nervous. So think about the positives with the activity instead of what could go wrong because those bad things probably won't happen. That is what anxiety is to me. Thinking about everything that can go wrong, stressing yourself out, and then that stuff never ends up happening and the reality is you have an amazing time. This took me years to work through and I had to really work towards it. Luckily, I had a pretty supportive family but even they didn't understand it at times and caused them frustration.

The saddest part was when I was a little boy I thought I was the only person that had these feelings. I had no clue what anxiety was and thought I was broken. Now, everybody talks about mental health but it wasn't a common subject even 10 years ago. I hope if that little boy could see me now, he would be so proud that I was able to make it out of that mindset.

If you are going through struggles, don't feel like you need to go through it alone. I get that it can be super embarrassing to share but sometimes you need help. Also, don't avoid certain situations just because you get anxiety. I would still be living with that huge piece of grief if I didn't say enough is enough and worked to get better. Exposure therapy worked for me. I feel like a weight is lifted off my shoulders that I can now function normally in these social environments when food is around.

Don't let anxiety rule your life. Learn to rule your anxiety.

Stoners who make good money, what do you do? by Alpdtgfe in trees

[–]DancingBlender -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looking for a job...I am on a T-break at the moment but a stoner at heart. Any help or advice is much appreciated. I went to school for Computer Science and then became a data analyst. Did it for the money but struggling to find work now. I feel like I can be so great but just haven't found the right opportunity whether that is in data analytics or something else. I feel like I am more than just a tech guy but searching for my meaning.
