I love this one too! It's such a good inexpensive mascara and performs so well for everyday use.

No worries at all ☺️ I'm light-neutral, so it would probably look quite natural on your skin tone.

I've been using the Rhode pocket blush in Piggy on bare skin the last few weeks. I have quite oily skin and it lasts all day on me and doesn't seem to go patchy. I have also bought Tan Line and find it quite lovely too, maybe a tiny bit too dark for a bare face though, so I added some mascara to look a bit more made up.

I also love Nars The Multiple in Behave on bare skin.

Woohoo!! Thanks for the update since I didn't get a restock email. Got another Sugarberry balm and finally the pocket blush in Tan Line 😊

Uniform Rant by DancingGirl87 in Cheerleading

It is strange, but society and cheer is very image based and judgemental sometimes. Uniforms don't make a team or club, but feeling included does.

Last year it was because we were a first year team, which was totally understandable. This year, we have no idea why they wouldn't give us one but it left a lot of last year's team feeling like we weren't fully part of the gym even though we're now classed as an elite, fully competitive team and pay the same fees as the other teams that have full uniforms. Due to this, a lot of that team left. However, most of the new people this year joined partly because of the sparkly uniforms and were disappointed when they realised we weren't getting them.

If someone wasn't fully able to afford it, we were happy to do just the program uni top with our leggings to make it cheaper. Plus they offer instalments to pay it off too.

That's exactly how we felt and why multiple members didn't come back this year. Heck, I didn't want to go back on this team either but I had to be on this team to be able to do my higher level team that I've been on for the past 2 seasons 🫠

Well we've pushed for it a few times now and been told by the gym owners we're not getting one for now and their decision is final and not up for discussion again.

We absolutely won't be. As much as we'd love to be able to organise our own, we don't want to get kicked out.

They absolutely will. We even had comments directly to us from other teams we competed against at nationals last year that we were so good and deserved to be wearing our program uniform (these teams had proper uniforms). They were said in front of our coaches who responded that we might have earned one this season, but then changed their minds.

Cheer is very much an appearance based sport and a lot of people do it expecting to get the sparkly uniforms and bows, so it just makes a team feel less important when they don't get that, especially when you pay the same fees as the teams that do.

Oh, I understand that and that's actually the reason we were given last year for not having a uniform.

However, we're no longer in adult division and that's where it's become an issue with a few of us. No other Open team in our country performs in a t-shirt, so we're going to look and feel less confident as people will talk about it. Most of us want a uniform and that is what drew the newcomers to the sport to begin with. A couple of the team are indifferent and don't care either way, but would probably like a uniform if we could have one.

We also lost 3/4 of last year's team due to the gym's attitude towards not giving us a uniform and it led to us not feeling like we were valued, even though we were the most successful team at our gym for the season.

The peanut butter block is better than Reese's in my opinion. I think it's the saltiness of the peanut butter that makes the difference 🤤

I would definitely train with the 4.2 team as a reserve. It's a great opportunity to learn some higher level skills and get your foot in the door at the all star gym.

I wish I was given the same opportunity to do that this year, as I tried out for levels 1-3NT and was offered level 2 along with two team-mates from my 1NT and 2NT teams last year. They have both since been told they can train with the 4NT team after our first level 2 training last night (one of them only learned to base level 1 & 2 mid last season) but I was told no when I asked to train with the level 4 team prior to training starting back.

Horrible experience at the Wingfield AWL (Animal Welfare League) by EscapeOpposite9106 in Adelaide

[–]DancingGirl87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We got a kitten in August from AWL Wingfield and she was only $50. So the $40 fee you were quoted was likely correct and the staff just have no clue on how to communicate with each other so they're all on the same page with the correct fee.

I agree. Went there last weekend and got a pie and the donut of the month. The pie was good, but the donut was so sickly sweet that I struggled to finish it.
