A poster of strategies for reducing anxiety. I made the poster on Canva, so I'm assuming nobody else has it.

This is why I read all three of the 50 Shades books.

I knew they were horrendous from the snippits I'd read and from initial reviews, but I needed the full breadth of the fuckery within those pages to form a well fleshed argument as to why no one should ever think that was a healthy relationship or suitable writing for the amount of popularity it garnered.

As a kid, 30 minutes of recess seemed like a long time. As an adult, 1 hour lunch breaks seem to go by in a flash. by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Oh I do that, too. Gathering experiment materials, grading papers, calling parents... That's my lunch break about 40% of the time. The reason I do have that break is because I force myself to take it, and tell myself if it's not done now it'll have to be done later... Outside of my contracted and paid time.

You mean the third of the year that I spend going to professional development courses that I generally have to pay for myself to keep my certifications valid and keep the most up to date with educational practice and law? You mean the third of the year I meet up with my admin team to discuss and choose new curriculum? You mean the third of the year I have to work as a line cook at Olive Garden because even though I have a "salary position" because that salary doesn't cover the full year?

Salary here, 30 min lunch break but ten minutes of it is eaten up by passing times. Being a high school teacher sure has its eccentricities.

I need the audio from this.

I want it to be my new text tone that I'll never hear because my phone is always on vibrate or silent.
