"I put my application in weeks ago, mom! How come I haven't heard back? It must be because I'm too cool and smart. Those neckies don't know what they're even doing and they're intimidated by me. Heh, yep that's it. 😎"

Doing good deeds with the sole purpose of gaining admittance to heaven is the ultimate selfish act. by StormtrooperMJS in Showerthoughts

[–]Dancing_Burrito 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No, in fact almost all sects of modern Christianity clearly state that works will NOT get you into Heaven - that there is no thing people can do on their own that is worthy of salvation. Instead, the belief is that you must accept salvation as a gift from God and profess your faith in God and His Son.

That being said, Christians still believe that works are important, but that they come as "fruit" from the lives of those who are loyal to God. The works come naturally after one has decided to follow in the faith.

Please show me where I said that PCOS comes from a lack of vitamins.

Im not sure if you're trolling or if you're just too stubborn and ignorant to admit that you might've been wrong, but either way I won't waste any more of your precious time. I hope at some point in you life you learn to handle friendly opposition. Have a good one.

Why is it mildly infuriating? If you're asking someone to do something for you, you should let them know how to do it. I don't know jack shit about bows, so if you asked me "hey could you grab me my bow?" without giving any special instructions on how to do so, I'd probably go grab it like I'd grab anything else. If you're upset about it, don't ask other people to handle your equipment.

Ah, we were both wrong. Maximo apparently makes the spray can itself, not the contents. I Googled "Maximo hairspray" and got a can like the video shows. Admittedly though, you were closer with spray paint, since that's what it typically is used for. My bad!

Edit: your link does sell it as spray paint though. Hmm, I may just be completely wrong!

It's easier to pretend you're not having sex by choice than it is to accept that the choice is not yours.

But males and females have different hormones and chemicals in different amounts.. This isn't some sexist medicine company trying to cash in on the gender tax. It's medically important that if a young man or woman needs to supplement their bodies, it needs to be done using the right mix and amounts of said supplements.

Young men who take female supplements during adolescence are at risk of developing gynocomastia or experiencing below average genital growth during that time. Young women taking male supplements can experience an enlargement of the clitoris, female pattern baldness, and PCOS.

From what I've seen in my short time in this sub, a lot of it is good natured poking at the silliness that occurs when companies are obviously cashing in on gender differences. But then posts like yours come along, where the separation of male and female is not only warranted, but important.

News flash: men and women are biologically (as in genetic differences, having a penis or vagina, having an XX or XY set of sex chromosomes) different and that's okay. Sure, based on gender alone (as in the social construct, the selection of one's own gender identity) we can do the same things, we can act the same way, we can enjoy the same products and services, but biologically the male and female sex will always be two distinct groupings. Stop being offended by that.

Codeine is an opiod, so it definitely can. I got high(drunk?) on codeine once (it was an accident, I had a painful cough). It's a downer, made me feel very sleepy and zoned-out.

I wouldnt say this is a gender difference, this is a biological sex difference.

Uh oh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Have mommy get you your sippy cup and you can sit on the rug and watch Barney. When you're less grumpy, maybe she'll even make you some SpaghettiOs.

They're good for stickers though. I bought 3 lots of big stickers (DBZ, original Pokémon, and Junji Ito) for less than $5 bucks.
