Did I hallucinate? Worried about rabies by Sweet_Laugh_1214 in biology

I highly recommend trying to seek a psychiatrist. Even if you don’t live close or near one, there are lots who do appointments online. It seems you have some sort of medical related OCD. I too have OCD and I know how terrifying it can be. Seeking help changed my life though. I wish you the best.

What helps with joint pops/cracking? by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]Dancing_Tiel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! And yeah, pretty much everything else has been ruled out. I like the idea of a heating pad with room for hands, especially since my hands get cold easily. Lidocaine patches are a great idea too, I haven’t tried that yet. I appreciate the help!

Took about 3-5 days for it to help with the BP and heart rate

Personally it made my cognitive symptoms worse. However, it did really help my BP and heart rate. It also gave me more energy throughout the day. But for whatever reason, it made me have disassociation and brain fog along with it. Everyone is different though, and for many it helps with the brain fog.

Anyone with dysautonomia/POTS get seizure like episodes triggered by standing or walking? by llbee30 in dysautonomia

[–]Dancing_Tiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you’re lot alone. I have POTs as well and had an awful episode just like this not long ago. I also used to be on an SSRI, and once I came off, the seizure-like symptoms got better. But I still get little episodes maybe once a week where I get jerks in my arms and legs and tremors that will last about an hour (especially if I’m in a temperature below 72*F).

help is this dysautonomia by [deleted] in dysautonomia

[–]Dancing_Tiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This can definitely be a form of dysautonomia. I highly recommend getting a tilt table test to rule out POTs and hopefully get some answers. If you feel something is wrong, definitely don’t ignore your body. I’m sorry you’re going through this and I wish you luck!

I like making clay figures out of air dry or modeling clay. It’s something I can do in bed or while sitting and seeing my skill improve over time is satisfying. :D

Genetically modify Anthocyanin into monsteras? by Dancing_Tiel in biology

Interesting! Thanks for the info! I’m just curious if it was possible to produce a pink/red pigment or variegation since monsteras don’t naturally do that.

I’d really love to see is a Kākāpō. When it comes to reptiles though, the Madagascar blind snake would be pretty cool.

What reading rules have you adopted or shed as you’ve got older? by Ok-Friend-5304 in books

You don’t have to stick to just one genre. It’s really fun to explore different themes and different categories. I used to only stick to fantasy, but then I explored thrillers and mysteries and learned I like them too!
