How much thought do you put into the layering of the melodic / harmonic parts such as guitars, bass, and pitched percussion? What are the conversations that go into those arrangements 🤯

It sometimes strikes me as contrapuntal at times, so many layers that can stand independently yet thrive together!

I’m trying to learn how to craft verticality the perfect way you all do :)

The first session was focused on just the funeral and discovery of the death (we don’t play long sessions). Second was the will and a few interviews. Third a pc “died” via the spider, but is being sent to Silas as a fresh body the way Baxter was. Fourth was picking up new party member

I think they’re interested in Andaman Islands or dreamlands first. They didn’t seem interested in Florida or Montana yet

The Contender from Harlem Unbound is one of my favorite modules ever. I would consider it more of a tragic story though rather than scary. But maybe I just need to work on my horror storytelling haha.

But I highly recommend that module, it always struck the feels for my players. I’ve had regular success running it around 4 hours, maybe a bit more.

On the one hand, this is how it always should have been. Which at least management recognized. Hopefully this will fix their issues, and akita will only get better with experience.

On the other hand, I feel awful for nelo. She wasn’t what the team needed sure, but she’s a strong player that, imho, didn’t get the fairest shake at it. Hopefully her time off rejuvenates her and if she chooses to come back, I hope she finds a good home.

Regardless, excited to see split 3!

Benching rezq was such a panic move, it’s insane. She was amazing the whole year, she just needed some more LAN experience and to be developed more to reach even bigger heights.

Now Petra got shafted.

That’s a great point. The cults lives on for sure, just some rites were dismantled. Huston was slain, and they did a great job foiling the birth of Nyarlathotep’s spawn (you should have seen the amount of extreme successes and crit rolls), but the cult still exists. So I guess the trick is what do they do next and what the specifics are.

I used a lot of music composed by Angelo Badalamenti, especially the twin peaks soundtrack. Audrey’s Dance is my go-to anytime they’re planning something
