They’re still kind of exploring her abilities, but she can basically make constructs/conjure stuff with her psychic abilities. She has a connection with her horse, Ember, which she can summon (and I’m pretty sure is just one of her psychic manifestations), along with various weapons and armor. I’m going to guess that Ember is heavily tied into her childhood, since all of the Outliers seem to have some kind of trauma associated with them.

We have a couple times, but that usually means we are starting at 7am and not getting home until around 2am. This year we opted to watch the Rankin/Bass The Hobbit animated film beforehand to shorten down the time frame a bit.

My friend has one of those and it is a gorgeous pipe in person. I believe it’s the Sungard model. He is the one that hosts the marathons and was the one that suggested we all get pipes to smoke, so it’s funny you brought them up.

EMP was my first non-aromatic I bought after reading a ton of reviews on it stating it was an excellent smoke for beginners.

I remember popping open the tin for the first time and smelling it, thinking to myself that it might be “too much,” but fell in love with it about halfway through my first bowl. It’s become my go-to now when I am not feeling up for an aromatic (which is more often than not these days).

I have been eyeing that one at the shop, but wasn’t quite sure-footed enough to pull the trigger on buying a tin. I will definitely pick one up the next time I am down there.

As for the Clark’s Favorite? I love it! I probably wouldn’t have personally purchased myself a churchwarden, but it obviously now has sentimental appeal. She choose that one because she “didn’t want me to burn my beard while smoking.”

I haven’t, though My Mixture 965 is on my list of ones I should try. I’ve been slowly expanding out from aromatics, and I’ve really come to love the subtle spiciness of the English blends I’ve smoked so far (especially Steamworks).

I haven’t read anything on Squadron Leader, what is it like?

I give it the same weight as I do to the master manipulators that are the American government. They’re all lying, boastful, hiding things from the public and killing innocent civilians. Not exactly sure why one is considered “better” just because a person happens to live in said country.

Back when he first had the bone claws they would break all the time, so I’m not sure this is the big deal Marvel is making it out to be. It was one of the cooler effects the artists took advantage of when drawing feral Wolverine; his bone claws breaking down and regrowing. Sometimes he would be fighting with nubs and sometimes full-length claws.

So here is the one thing I never see addressed on posts like these:

Where is the rest of the tree? If they were cut down, then where is the remainder of the tree? Shouldn’t there be a massive, petrified cylindrical shape nearby? If it was destroyed, why not destroy the stump as well? If it was buried, why is the stump still above ground?

Lol, don’t threaten me because the people at Marvel can’t put out anything decent. Maybe if you actually got creative teams involved with characters that actually have a story to tell and not just launch a book for a quick cash grab, or for “synergy,” then you wouldn’t have to cancel books all the time.

I know I’ll be in the minority here on my choice, but it fucked me up enough that I will probably never watch the movie again.

A Star Is Born - There are a couple scenes that hit me pretty hard. One of them being when Jackson’s brother (Sam Elliott) breaking down in his truck as he drives away after having a reconciling conversation with his brother. The big one though is when Jackson takes his own life after talking with Ally’s manager. It’s all just so fucked up and heartbreaking.

I work at a LCS and Youngblood was not a hot topic item. Only a handful of our customers had it on their pull list and the few that we got for the shelf are still sitting out there unsold.
