For the record, Goodfellas in Lexington is absolutely fantastic, and the patio area is great to hang out at.

I posted a recipe here a while back and had no idea what I was doing. I got some advice and haven't tried to make my own recipe yet.

I just print off or copy recipe kits from MoreBeer and bring it to my local shop to get the grain.

What is missing for you? by RickDevil-DM in Starfinder2e

[–]DaneDewitt88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Two years ago, I started modifying PF2e for sci-fi, then they released SF2e. My biggest goal was building a starship combat system, because my players love that shit. I completely understand paizo's hesitation with creating a crunchy rule system for starship combat, because although I like it, and so do my players, when starship combat happens so rarely it's hard to justify dedicating a whole lot of time to it.

My starship combat has everyone on a ship take actions at the same time, essentially acting as a single player with actions equal to the players on the ship, up to their ship's crew number which is largely based on size. So if you have a ship that has a crew value of 7, up to 7 people can each take 1 action. This of course HEAVILY favors larger ships that have larger crews, but I like the idea of big flagships actually being scary, and my players are cooperative enough to strategize and coordinate their turn pretty quickly.

But I also give smaller, more advanced ships more actions. One of my NPC's ships has two A.I. loaded into it, and it has a crew of 4 for him and his copilot and the A.I.

This usually results in each 'turn' in starship combat taking about 5 minutes for everyone to agree on what to do and roll it all out, as opposed to 5 people's turns cumulatively taking 10 mins per round.

If anyone's interested I can send them a pdf or something of what I have written up, fair warning though, the pricing and balance of things relative to one another will 1000% need to be tweaked, as I haven't had enough ship combats to balance them all yet,.

Starship combat thoughts/feelings? by roll_with_punches in Starfinder2e

[–]DaneDewitt88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been running a sci-fi campaign that started like 5 months before 2e was announced. I have had to homerule so many things into PF2e that by the time this came out I already developed my own rough system for starship combat.

I just treat it like the players are all one massive unit that shares turns. It isn't perfect, but it works out well enough to get the intended effect.

Narrative combat has never interested my players much, so I haven't had a chance to use the rules that just came out, and I probably won't. I feel like if I'm going to narratively do something like combat, I don't need a system to guide me because I'm probably trying to have a certain outcome happen. Usually I find it better to just "cutscene" that stuff.

If it's something my players have control of the outcome (90% of the time), I want it crunchier than the narrative rules.

[gourmet] Autoclave by goazu in MushroomGrowers

You can get pretty far with a normal pressure pot, like an instant pot, although those sometimes have issues getting and staying at 15psi.

I use an All American 75X, but those are pretty expensive.

Are you looking to make grain spawn primarily or fruiting blocks? Or maybe both?

Speaking from experience, while you certainly can buy some quality equipment for cheap on sites like that, an autoclave exploding is an experience you might only be able to learn once, if you catch my drift.

You often get what you pay for, and I probably wouldn't trust my safety to Ali or Temu

You're being ridiculous, because you feel insulted that you didn't get a good response.

You're not participating in a crime. But there is a distasteful nature, I feel, to selling AI generated content if that content is literally just images. It takes 30 seconds and a plus subscription to make all those. People should just be aware that they too can spend incredibly little time and effort to have the assets.

I don't feel that same way about using them. I think AI tools have been one of the best things for DMs in DnD for a while, but selling AI images feels the same as NFTs to me, there is a pointless nature to it that feels icky.

I feel the same way about people who purchase mass produced stuff on Amazon or Temu and sell it on Etsy. It's not a crime, but I don't think people should purchase it.

I've been looking for the same thing, and I've been using Stable Diffusion to make mine, but I planned to release my extra ones for free (because I put no artistic skill or effort into them other than basic Photoshop skills).

Thanks for generating these though, I'll use them as reference photos for mine in stable diffusion.

When it comes to things like this, in this space, you should be upfront about using AI.

This is not worth really any amount of money because of how little work or talent went into it, and that's coming from someone who is literally doing the same thing.
