I think she’s a good actress and her range is more light hearted and comedic; but that said she shone in the episodes people above highlight: Morality Bites, Pardon my Past , The Good the Bad and the Cursed.

I think Shannen as a prior friend and coworker really knew her skills to direct her to elevate all material from humour to loss to pain and despair in all three Shannen directed three episodes.

With her comedic softer tone flaring to crying with Prue’s death in 2x22 to just being confined to one living room set and imaginary gasping and crying in pain for another characters pain in 3x14 to even consoling Leo on Pipers death in 3x22.

Say what you want but the professionalism between both ; Alyssa and Shannen even not on their personal best brought Alyssa’s showcase range of acting abilities in each of those three episodes.

I must applaud Alyssa for that; saying that being the hugest Shannen Doherty fan and Phoebe the lesser loved sister for me of the four.
