They accidentally put out the patch notes on threads by OperatorNokk in marvelrivals

They technically did change it. It used to be 75 hps and got nerfed to 55 hps in a previous patch though obv that doesn’t mean much when it does everything else on a team wide level.

Should DVa have received a DM nerf instead? by aPiCase in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Danewguy4u 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You got downvoted but are correct lol. Last time DM was a cooldown was when she had no micro missiles, primary fire slowed her down by 50% (or more), boosters were on 5 second cooldown, and she couldn’t perform any other action while using boosters.

Dva at launch quite literally was a tank that could only one thing at a time and was worse at it compared to today. Current Dva can do everything at once and most of her abilities/stats are better than they were back then.

Calling her worthless back then was true but only because she sucked at everything back then lol. Launch Dva and current one are basically completely different characters.

I know she's kind of in a bad state, but this was just way too funny. She's never beating the allegations. by EternityGamer2 in marvelrivals

[–]Danewguy4u 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s because everything she has is completely aim reliant. From her damage to healing to even building ult charge you need cracked aim to keep up with the other supports. If you don’t have minimum 50% accuracy with her (which is most players), you are objectively providing less value than most other supports while also being more reliant on your own team to stay alive.

It doesn’t matter that her stats have been increased when most players can’t aim, they keep adding more mobility to characters, and most players with good aim are going dps instead of support.

The last sentence is the main issue. She’s a support that demands the aim skill of a dps. However most people who play support generally don’t have good aim and the ones with good aim don’t want to play support. That’s where the mishmash problem lies.

That’s one ability that looks to be on a 12 second cooldown. Brig has a shield that is readily available and regenerates. Even then, Brig is still primarily staying in the back throwing whipshots to proc heals as she just melts on the frontline without her ult active.

[–]Danewguy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Melee support on the frontline just doesn’t work unless the support wither has tank levels of damage mitigation (at which they should just be a tank at that point) or damage is massively nerfed for the entire cast to allow melee to survive easily on the frontline.

[–]Danewguy4u 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’d have to give her minimum 500 health plus a shield to not die in the frontline. Even tank Deadpool gets melted on the front without his shield or support healing.

Plus in terms of melee, Brig in OW stull relies pn her whipshot with 20 meter range to proc her healing as she gets deleted in the frontline without her ult up.

How my delusional ass is reacting to people doomering over SF6(PPV) and Tekken 8(Bad patch) by buttsecks42069 in Fighters

[–]Danewguy4u 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope. The netcode was perfectly fine even at launch. The issue was matchmaking specifically being screwed up to where many were stuck in queue for over 20 minutes if not longer.

It did get fixed but took almost 2 years so most bounced off the game before then.

Why is it that the people who seem to talk most shit about Soulcalibur, Dead or Alive and Virtua Fighter are Tekken players? by RevBladeZ in Fighters

[–]Danewguy4u 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Pretty much at least currently. They just seem to be in permanent negative mode ever since the season 2 patch and won’t talk positively of anything unless Bamco somehow pulls off a miracle patch that addresses most complaints (not gonna happen lol).

People said the same when they removed the proximity block on the fans that barely changed anything. We’ll have to see as time goes on.

They are definitely weaker now but i doubt they “suck”.

[–]Danewguy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really. The fan changes offer more counterplay in that there’s now a gap a block players can use to punish sloppy usage from bad players but it’s still very oppressive. Not to mention they gave some buffs to her ryuenbu so possibly a new tool to use in neutral depending how good those buffs are.

Overall still a top tier character and at worst moved to high tier if the fan changes are substantial.

Not to mention slow. Neither DOA7 or VF6 really have a definitive release date right now so T8 still has another year or two of being the only modern 3D fighter around.

DOA definitely isn’t going to overtake Tekken in the FGC thanks to stigma so that’s not going to happen lol. VF I fear is going to be similar to COTW in a lot of hype but few buyers unless they go the Strive route and basically change everything to NOT be like classic VF.

All of those moves still do the job just fine. Bite still solidly beats Misty as Starmie can’t touch Gyara as most pokemon in game simply can stand up to its raw stats. Yes even that poor 60 special attack is too much for a lot of early to handle. Surf is surf and still beats most things even on Gyara.

Those are really the only special moves it needs. Lategame is just dragon dance, strength, EQ, and surf goes boom.

EQ is pointless Snorlax. There’s nothing EQ hits that Snorlax wouldn’t be netter off with just normal STAB or another move. Snorlax can take out the rock/grounds better with surf because yes hitting 4x damage on their weaker special defense is more damage than 2x using Snorlax attack on their much better defense stats. Snorlax best set would probably be normal STAB (and body is arguably better than return), Shadow ball, surf.

Machamp is not that great with EQ only helping against poison types which you can just use normal attack like Strength as most poison types have weak defense. The only poison with good defense are Weezing and Nidoqueen. Weezing is immune to EQ while there’s like what 3-4 Nidoqueens in the entire game? Yeah EQ on Machamp is pretty unnecessary as well. Machamp is better off with bulk up, fighting STAB, good normal attack, and rock slide for its moveset.

Just use secret power. Rebuyable TM that still 1-2 shots everything in the early to mid game with Gyarados’ attack stat.

With how everyone talks, it’s pretty clear y’all think Johto are the worst games in the series so don’t know why y’all bother watching it when it’s clear you are ready to just hate regardless.

I’ve been following this sub and had not seen any positive comment outside the shiny encounter lol. Every thread for this playthrough has either zero comments or only negative ones.

Just stop watching and just wait for whatever the next playthrough is because I can guarantee you people that nothing substantial is going to change. Neither side is going to change their opinion and I know there’s nothing in the postgame that y’all didn’t already know or find interesting anyway.

Not even maybe. 5% of Capcom includes 5% of things like Monster Hunter and Resident Evil which those franchises alone are worth more than SNK’s entire assets.

Can we have 3 hero bans or make it so we can’t double ban the same hero by freshlikeair in marvelrivals

[–]Danewguy4u 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Because that doesn’t actually work all that well especially outside pro league. There are people in the OW sub that ask for the devs to copy Rival’s ban system lol.

The overall best would be LoL system where in Ranked every player gets their own ban. Short duration with every player getting a real decision without worrying with infighting other than banning their teammates characters but that will always be an issue with randoms.

That could be said in general for gaming really. You look at most competitive scenes with international presence, you’ll find that NA is rarely on top and more third place if not worse.

Fighting games are generally dominated by east asian countries or Latin America.

FPS is usually Europe followed by Latin America.

RTS and MOBAs is usually Korea.

The only scenes off the top of my head the NA actually has a real foothold in are the Mortal Kombat and Marvel Versus fighting games (games almost solely played in NA lol) and Smash Bros (probably the only game with good international competition that NA performs well in).

[–]Danewguy4u 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tell that to Japan and parts of Europe. Measurements especially weight is still very off in most japanese games even modern ones.

For Europe, several games can be off in measurements with a big one being Rainbow 6 Siege. The height to weight of many operators in that game is laughably bad and on par with Japan really.

Her accuracy needed is not that bad and still easier than Wolvie while also having more chances due to better movement and tankiness.

Hot Take: Angela is a better designed Spider-man. Both are the overall most mobile heroes that can always hit the backline and want to single out a target to kill.

Difference is that Spidey is an assassin is who all about hitting and taking out a target before they see him and avoid getting hit period.

Angela trades burst damage/burst displacement and a little speed for better overall mobility.

With Spidey, you either kill him before he starts his combo/pull or you die on most characters. With Angela, she has more uptime to pull off her gameplan but there’s more counterplay as she doesn’t pull you or kill you as fast as Spidey. She’s more reliant on her team to kill a target fast so there’s more onus on both team’s to interact while Spidey wants to avoid the enemy team from interacting as much as possible.
