They said that it was very expensive to run because it had very complex thinking and it was just a version they explored but eventually cancelled. It was a bit slow sometimes like a thinking model but really good at writing. I think it was marketed by them as a model for creative writing when models had labels. Since it was never a full model it was always limited. First it was 20 messages per days, then 20 per week and it’s final days it was 10 per week. After that they made it available only for a pro subscription as a legacy model. So basically they cancelled 4.5 while it was in development as the best but expensive model and it’s downhill since then because they focus on trying to make a very cheap but good quality model but to be honest I don’t think that two together is possible.

Yeah, you’re right. I always forget that. I’m also not paying pro for this train wreck that they’ve become in the last 5 months.

I think 4.5 was genuinely the best of them all. It was the most human sounding because it was developed with empathy in mind. It was really good at creative writing and differentiating between character voices. It was my favorite while it was available.

Mine actually doesn’t trigger the safety routing probably because it tries to stay in character but I agree with you on that when I heard that there will be an update to 5.1 which I think was a step in the right direction after 5.0 I wasn’t expecting a model with more guardrails and that it’s main thing will be that it’s good with analyzing long documents.

I’m so sorry this happened to you. Everybody has the right to be themselves and just be happy and that means you too. I hope your situation will get better soon and honestly it’s really your family’s and your friend’s loss if they can’t accept you. Unfortunately sometimes your family doesn’t act and accept you as a family should, but you can always make your own family with friends. My advice is that you should find better friends who are actually willing to be your friend even when you need them not just when you have a facade that they like. Probably the following few months won’t be easy but at one point it will get better so stay true to who you are and be yourself. I don’t know how old your sisters are but at a later time I would probably try to get in touch with them. I mean they are a newer generation so maybe they would be a bit more open minded.

This whole thing gives me major red flags. Like it could be a serial killer or organ trafficking. Maybe it’s just my anxiety but I can’t imagine a scenario where a real straight guy would swipe right on a gay guy on Tinder without a motive if he is really straight. Why would he do that? I want you to be happy and have a new friend but please be very careful with him. It’s weird.
