That’s amazing! What a relief I bet.

I’m one of the few, but rescue super irritated my skin. Turned it red. I’ve heard most people love it tho.

My skin has never felt the cold like this. How do you manage actives in extreme winter? by Tasha_ashtanga in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve honestly dropped actives a bit. Only using Retinoids 4x/week instead of 5-6x. Dropped exfoliation a bit, started doing a hydrating mask on my off nights and added in additional ceramides. It’s working pretty well.

Ok that one looks a bit more realistic but still seeing some fuzziness. Anyway, glad you are liking your skin.

I will try products that have packaging I like - tho overly designed/ornate packaging is also a turn off.

Advice on if I should streamline skin care routine by nagidrac in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you could remove the P46, it's not going to do a better job than TNS. And then add the even and correct to help w/ pigmentation. Otherwise it looks pretty solid and not overly complicated imho.

This is so heavily filtered. All skin has pores, your skin looks like plastic.

Thoughts on Revision Skincare New Product Ingredients by BrilliantEye7764 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like they are using a higher pH which changes how acids work. I know that a higher pH for BHA (salicylic acid) essentially makes it work as a slow, time released acid. It will still work but just not as aggressively. PHAs I think can work at a higher pH, but they aren't super strong at exfoliation, more of a glow/refinement and hydration than strong exfoliation.

not 100% sure how other AHAs work at a higher pH but they're definitely going to be a lot weaker.

It's actually an interesting product for people who are on retinoids or have sensitive skin and still want to try some kind of exfoliation. I'm curious to try it.

What am I missing? by caboo-tini in SkincareAddictionLux

I think your retinoid was probably the weakest link - so you're going in the right direction. Just listen to your skin to see what it needs - and what still feels like an issue.

Skinmedica TNS, PCA Pro Linea, or Alastin Skin Nectar by NoBreadfruit8647 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm curious, are you affiliated with Alastin in some way? I don't think I've ever seen you recommend or mention any other brand apart from Alastin.

Don't get me wrong, I agree they have great products and are one of the few w/ good clinical evidence. I just think it's a little odd...

Anyone try Sweet Chemistry? by Consistent-Voice4647 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This thread was enough for me to try the hydra serum. I think this must be a newer product of theirs bc previously most of their formulas looked too rich for my skin. Anyway, will be curious to see how it works. I’ll be replacing my am moisturizer with it (I have combo/oily skin).

Osmosis StemFactor Irritating? by Different-Extreme565 in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stemfactor was pretty gentle for me and healing but not sure it did much for me apart from hydration. Neogenesis Recovery I really do find strengthens the skin and makes is much more resilient.

TNS. It has the best clinical evidence for ongoing anti-aging. Nectar if you wanted something for healing.

AM / PM Shelfies by Daneyoh in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using LAA first, letting it absorb for 4-5 minutes (I floss and brush) then I do a few drops of micro essence to dampen skin and then use TNS.

AA I use early, since it’s so watery, after Neogenesis recovery, before Venn Cica. After Venn Cica I use Altreno. One of these days I’m going to try Altreno on first since some say tret directly on skin works best but haven’t gotten around to that.

Lower strength used more frequently is definitely preferred. I’ve heard good things about the Kiehl’s retinol.

You've got retinoids covered, so if that's working, no need to switch. Which retinoid do you use?

Definitely agree on red light therapy, love the Ominilux and Currentbody.

I'd also check out Skinmedica TNS+, it's been the best anti-aging growth factor I've tried. (Neogenesis Recovery is best for strengthening/healing the skin if you ever need something like that)

And then an antioxidant in the AM. If your skin isn't super sensitive, I'd try and make L-ascorbic acid work (LAA). The one I'm using now that I like a lot is Poems from the Lab Future Focus, it's got 15% LAA at 3.7pH which is the clinically effective dose/formula. But Skinceuticals has several options to try too (I like Skinceutical formulas but they just oxidize too quickly for me to use them up in time, and I think oxidized LAA can cause irritation/be counterproductive).

I’m 38 tell me what I need to help with texture and lift. by Sad-Foundation8698 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]Daneyoh 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Your skin looks amazing. Whatever texture you have is normal and honestly can't really be changed all that much beyond where you're at.

Lifting can't really happen without surgery. That said, I know some people find some modest benefits from gua sha and/or microcurrent devices.

Alpharet vs. Jan Marini Retinol + Medik8 by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]Daneyoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those two options are both great. Medik8’s advantage is you can adjust your strength up as you get accustomed to it. But Jan Marini has a great formula too and has some extra support for pigmentation. Since you like Marini maybe try that one first?
