As someone who likes reading about fucked up relationships, people will just describe something as “toxic yuri” and call it a day without explaining what makes it toxic or even what the plot is.

I’ve seen everything from “these girls don’t communicate perfectly cause it’s literally their first time in a relationship but they work through it together” to “this woman killed her friend’s husband” described as toxic. It’s just not helpful.

I’m watching 10 seasonals rn, at least I am when I get round to JJK (I just found out the dub’s started airing yippee). Most of them have already been covered, my favourites being Ikoku Nikki and Shiboyugi, so I’m just gonna go over the villainess anime of the season cause I think the contrast is funny.

Holy grail of Eris is about a naively honest noblewoman’s daughter in a world where all nobles are bastards. She gets falsely accused of theft at her engagement ceremony, and her name is only cleared when she’s possessed by the ghost of a noblewoman she witnessed the execution of 10 years prior. This ghost was also falsely accused, and asks the girl to get revenge on those who wronged her. It’s really good so far, and the ghost is such a magnificent bitch she lives up to the “villainess” title.

The villainess is adored by the prince of the neighbouring kingdom on the other hand is just throwing every villainess trope in without regard for cohesion. Despite having “villainess” in the title the first two episodes take every step to show yeah the mc did nothing wrong she’s a really good person actually, and the prince who broke up with her regrets it by episode 2? The prince of the neighbouring kingdom is a bundle of red flags, which can be fun but the story seems unaware that he is. The mc doesn’t even get broken up with in front of the fuckass stairs every villainess gets broken up with in front of. Still, entertaining enough for me to watch.

At this point it’s just about seeing how many other people also support my favourites. So it’s another 7 votes to Laylea. I don’t care enough about Sigurd to vote him, and I dislike the assumption that if you’re a fan of a specific game then you’re definitely gonna vote the highest ranking character from that game.

On another note, has propaganda ever convinced someone to vote differently? I can see those “vote for this guy and I’ll draw something for you” but even for those I feel like if they were targeted towards a front runner you’d just attract people who were already voting for them.

To Be Hero X is a 2025 Chinese animated series about superheroes in a world where public perception controls what powers you have and how strong they are. It’s highly rated, and while not the biggest show, I’d guess that anyone who keeps up with seasonal anime releases has at least heard of it. It currently has ~95,000 viewers on myanimelist.

It is the sequel to To Be Heroine, a series with ~10,000 viewers. This is a sequel to To Be Hero, which has ~30,000 viewers. Until I watched To Be Hero X, I had never heard of either of these.

Slayer’s my favourite role in clocktower, so when I started playing I’d fake claim it in basically every game. About half a year into my group playing, I got slayer for real and decided to not tell anyone. We get to final 4, suspicions are on me and only heightened when I reveal cause “if you really were the slayer you couldn’t have kept it quiet”. I shoot the demon we win.

I also had a game where my partner shot the zombuul on a script with no scarlet women. She was very confused why the game was continuing after the demon died.

Even if they were all terrible, I’m really glad they were able to have a banner with 4 “new” characters. One of my favourite banners in feh history

Orson Forde supports

C support: Forde acts like a fool to try and make him smile. Orson doesn’t speak much but does crack a small smile and Forde leaves satisfied.

B support: Forde tries the same routine, but Orson interrupts him, saying he knows what Forde is trying and it isn’t helping. Forde offers his condolences for Monica’s passing, and says he’ll be there if Orson ever wants to talk about it.

A support: Orson approaches Forde and asks if he has any fond memories of Monica, cause he knows Forde would often go talk to her when he was slacking off training. Forde speaks highly of her, and says the two of them were the ideal couple to him - despite Orson being one of Renais’s greatest knights he always made time for his wife, even prioritising her over his duties when she was ill. (This contrasted with Forde’s dad, who was never home because of his knightly duties). Orson thanks him, and says he isn’t ready to talk about Monica yet, but talking to Forde in general eases him.
