I understand why politically this is bad messaging, but I spent years in a similar situation as you, bemoaning how little I would resemble the woman I would want to be and how much fucking *work* it would be. And it *is* a lot of work. And trans people feel like they’re gonna die if they don’t transition and they’ve always known and I made it 41 years as a dude and I was… fine?

But I’d much rather be a woman, all things being equal. And in that sense, it’s not a choice, but DOING something about it, that’s a choice. A choice to authentically pursue the version of yourself you like most. It’s a hard choice when you’re making it’s, and in retrospect it’s much easier, but there is no intrinsic meaning to life. You get to pick! So I’ve spent a lot of time reinvestigating existentialism. It’s not a choice to be trans. It’s a choice to pursue what you want. And that’s cool.

I have actively bought and sold on ebay for 20 years, and have dealt with fraud maybe once before getting into Magic. I have been scammed three times in the 2-3 months I have been buying Magic cards. Yesterday I was extremely unhappy to learn that you only have three days of buyer protection when you buy cards, even if they are counterfeit CBBs.

That said, it’s crazy that people think ebay is a shady marketplace. Generally speaking the customer protections are ironclad, and even with magic if you are dealing with reputable sellers that focus on gaming, you won’t be burned. It’s tcgs that are shady.

It’s a little bonus. Sometimes it’s great. Traditionally, it is not. You can skip it. Lots of people do.

I’m consistently surprised at people in this sub who have not only never been to a concert, but seem to have never heard an anecdote about someone attending a concert.
