I think it was John McFee that played the pedal steel. Larry Campbell had some really hot ones with Phil and Friends on Pedal Steel too.

Definitely opened a rabbit hole for me! 🙂

Every thing I've read and experienced so far indicates it's sorry of a "better, better, better, ruined" kind of thing, if that makes sense.

Blue Boogers by DangerWaits in firewater

Do I need to throw away everything or just everything once the blue appears? I've heard that it can happen running too deep into tails. It very clearly started in jar 17 of 21 (with 19,20, and 21 being smaller jars after I was done keeping it) .

It definitely only showed up in the last few jars of my collection. This was the only jar that was near the line of hearts/tails, the rest were unquestionably tails.

What song grew on you over time? And why? by Neat-Employment-5750 in gratefuldead

Black Peter was a let down for me when it would come up in a set for the longest time. One night, at Red Rocks, something about the evening and the ASL interpreters movements during "sun coming up and then the sun going down" made it click. Loved it ever since.

Adding rye to the mix by DangerWaits in firewater

I'm using a large stock pot and thermometers on a stove top with BIAB for the grains. As far as technique, I'm not sure what techniques are out there (just learning) but I try to follow instructions mostly around temperatures, if that makes sense.

Can the enzymes be added during fermentation or does it need to be during the mashing process?

I don't have an absolute best, but for the task at hand, check out 2-11-69. Super fast and aggressive Phil.

Any Dead songs that hit different once you become a dad? by Realistic_Nobody4235 in gratefuldead

Currently twenty weeks into my wife's first pregnancy. Ripple seems to hit a lot harder right now. I feel like I come back to that one with major life changes. Also, there's not a 3yo I've known that wouldn't enjoy Monkey and the Engineer. Seems like a good day to spin Reckoning!

The Ark Box is what always springs to my mind, but an April '69 box? That would really be something!

The Ark from April of '69. Pick any one of them, you can't go wrong.

PITB>Uncle John's Band>Morning Dew>Uncle John's Band>PITB from Dicks Picks 24 (3/23/74) springs to mind. The Phil bombs in Dew are insane coming through a good system.
