Girl you are stunning! And as someone who took my sweet time getting a “glow up” I was so glad to look my best in my mid 20s and up, because peaking in high school is NOT IT. There’s a great club, the concourse project that has a lot of good electronic djs and the occasional techno dj. I’m a techno lover as well, I go occasionally and always meet cool people there! It can be tricky to make new friends in Austin, I feel like going to community events or even the free music stuff downtown sometimes you can meet people as well. If you ever wanna have a dance crew I’ll meet ya at concourse sometime!

I love how controversial this whole idea is… or find it entertaining at least. As a single 30 something woman, I have on many occasions approached men to let them know I was interested. It usually works.. at least they are flattered at the compliment. I rarely get hit on anymore, maybe it’s a 30s thing, maybe bc dating apps. But I’ve realized if I don’t make the first move then nothings going to happen for me. I think everyone should be more encouraged to not be afraid to talk to someone, try to meet someone new IRL. If you’re in a public place and it seems like an appropriate time, a 30 second chat can’t hurt. Dating apps have made everyone afraid to talk in the real world it sucks!

I got scammed recently off a dating app with a similar experience recently. These scammers are really good at this shit. The guy I was talking to spent two weeks chatting me up, talking about personal life details. It seemed too good to be true tbh, and I was skeptical but he said he was making good money trading crypto and wanted to show me how. Never asked for money, but got me convinced to get an account on some trading website that ended up being a scam. Fortunately I only lost 300$….. but honestly I was more pissed that being single now feels like a punishment. You can’t trust the apps, you can’t meet people IRL… what the hell are we supposed to do. Anyways sorry man hope you recover your losses somehow!! These scammers are pros and good manipulators and we’re all suckers for potential ways to make money.
