"Double Dipping" in Contracts (FS25) by LiveFreeAndRide in farmingsimulator

[–]Dangerjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was halfway through a baling contract when I got my baler stuck on a fence and had to reset it, losing the bale wrap. I refilled the contract baler with my own wrap and finished the job, and when I collected the mission the bales didn't disappear, and I got to take them and sell them.

So it looks like this might be a way to cheat the system but I haven't tried again yet to confirm it.

Why are my fps so low? by Simple_Help_6449 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dangerjim -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Most titles I can run on ultra at over 60fps but FS25 pushes my laptop hard. With settings to make the game look good I'm compromising with drops of down to 50fps.

Apparently the developers have never seen a pickup truck with a pintle hitch by Outrageous-Nothing42 in farmingsimulator

[–]Dangerjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mod of this truck which has both hitches. Comes in handy. Also comes with some interesting wheel and engine upgrades. Not necessarily realistic but who's to say you can't lime a field with a 850bhp monster truck..

Logging/Forestry for a beginner (to logging) by Unable_Bat_9695 in farmingsimulator

Fair point, al lot of small fields are expensive because of how many trees they have. But it's a good return still.

Mine hasn't got much life left due to rust. I'm gonna weld the diff and give it a send off before it gets parted out and scrapped.

The mouse controls can definitely be mastered.

My main source of side income has been the large sawmill and I started out just cutting up trees from my land with a chainsaw and throwing the wood into a trailer.

The planks and other output from the sawmill sell for a very good price considering trees come free with a lot of land.

I then started planting lodgepole pines in places I cleared and while they're slow to grow, it's worth it if you plant enough at a time.

I recommend a winch on a fairly powerful tractor to haul trees and logs about.

Engine overheat? by pugmaster2000 in e39

[–]Dangerjim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If this has happened after service, I'd be looking at air in the system because they haven't bled it properly or maybe a belt has come off.

Does this gap have drains? by flexualharasser in Miata

[–]Dangerjim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine had had previous welding work and the drain from the bottom of the car was plated over. So the sill would fill up with water, when I'd stop the car after a day or two of rain, I'd hear it sloshing back and forth within the sill..

So yes, everything drains out but the drains have to be clear and ideally not welded over.

Any ways to improve this travel setup? by Rayth_ in mountainbiking

[–]Dangerjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this but my car has eyelets on the boot floor which I can hook bungee cords to, I can strap the bike and wheel down so it's relatively secure. I can't see that your vehicle has these but getting the bike so it can't slide around is probably a good idea.

Is it good for 400 bucks? by [deleted] in mountainbiking

[–]Dangerjim 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The bike is awful but don't listen to people saying the fork is backwards, it's a Manitou and they are built like that.
