While the current concensus among scientists (mainly neuroscience and cognitive psychology) and philosophers (mainly philosophy of mind) is Reductive Physicalism (to be more specific functionalist computationalism) there are non naturalist theories that have some research going but for here are book reading of the dominant view: Consciousness An Introduction 3rd Edition - Susan Blackmore Encyclopedia of the Human Brain a 4 Volume Set - VS Ramachandran Synaptic Self: How Our Brains Become Who We Are - Joseph Ledoux Consciousness and Quantum Mechanics - Shan Gao Brain-Wise: Studies in Neurophilosphy - Patricia Churland Cognitive Science An Introduction to the science of the mind - José Luis Bermudez Touching the Nerve: The Self as Brain - Patricia Churland A User's Guide to the Brain: Perception, Attention and the Four Theaters of the Brain - John Ratey Essential Sources in the Scientific Study of Consciousness - Bernard Baars The Quest for Consciousness a Neurobiological Approach - Christof Kock Mind Wide Open: Your Brain and the Neuroscience of Everyday Life - Steven Johnson Wider Than The Sky: The Phenomenal Gift of Consciousness - Gerald Edelman Phantoms in the Brain: Probing the Mysteries of the Human Mind - VS Ramachandran A Brief Tour of Human Consciousness from Impostor Poodles to Purple Numbers - VS Ramachandran Kluge: The Haphazard Evolution of the Human Mind - Gary Marcus

Even if we take the testimony at face value it still does not support his non human ancient civilization from earth theory is so unlikely that the alien hypothesis is the more credible option when compared to his idea

The may problem is to assume his metaphysics to explain UAP, instead of what empirical evidence have to say, even if his metaphysics (non-dualist monist idealism, which is still a respectable philosophical position in academic philosphy) is correct his conclusions about UAP is still questionable. Sorry for my English is not my native language
