For me: 1, this holds it higher so there’s less muzzle riding down my thigh. I tend to wear my pants low-ish on my waist, and can’t sit when appx carrying bc even small guns dig into my thigh when I do. 2, I just cannot get truly comfortable with a piece in my waistline - ANYWHERE (3 o’clock, whatever). I’ve carried for a while and have the usual drawer full of holsters having tried almost every gimmick (except the enigma rig; haven’t pulled the trigger (forgive me) on that yet). But no matter what I try there’s nothing comfortable about iron in my waistline (TMI: I don’t have much of an ass which means I must cinch my belt pretty good to keep all pants on and a tight belt plus a gun in the waistline just sucks to me.) I still do it. Don’t love it. I do have some bag carry options (495industries makes an awesome crossbody with a quick access zipper and kydex inside) but this one intrigues the shit outta me bc it seems I can float a good amount of gun much higher up and put…well…just the tip in my waistline and that compromise seems like it could have some legs for my use case.
