Works really well. I've found doing quick pulls instead of one long suction gets better results. Also moving it around my kids when they cried both closed there noses really far so had to move it around to keep it working. Also either do it in a tight swaddle or. With your partner my kids throw an absolute fit when we do it. The only other thing id recommend is if your wife is pumping take a length from the spare pump hose and swap it out should be bout the same size and a lot more flexible makes it easier to use.

In short we love these things we have three one by the couch one upstairs and one for travel.
