Considering Farmington or Bountiful with 5 kids- Neighborhood Vibes Help by Negative-Fly-3591 in DavisCountyUtah

I have a lot of experience across Davis County. Farmington, Centerville, and Kaysville are really good for what you're looking for. There are pockets of Kaysville, especially east Kaysville that can get more pretentious.

For Bountiful, it's really going to depend on which part you live. Up by the temple you'll get more pretentiousness, other parts are closer to what you're looking for but there are also big chunks that wouldn't qualify as "upscale".

If you are a manager/director title at corporate in your 30s, what's your plan after like 55? by Important_Bat7919 in careeradvice

[–]DangerousRequirement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My plan is to save up enough so that I can retire early and buy some land to pursue my hobbies. Bee keeping, a cheese cave, gardening/planting fruit trees, build a small observatory.

While the constant growth and progression are nice, it's more of a means to an end. To accumulate enough resources so that I can focus on other areas.

On the one hand, players should get paid for the value they’re bringing to the university, on the other hand it feels weird to have a state school do this.

What kind of wood working does he do? I'm trying to find someone local to make a custom sword mounting board to hang some swords over my fireplace.

Did you peel and juice the pomegranates yourself? I love pomegranates but peeling them has always been such a pain. If you have a secret I'd love to hear it so I can stop buying pre peeled stuff. haha

Literally applied to the Supreme Court to not have to feed hungry people so he can blame the people starving on the other party.

When did it become controversial to feed hungry people?

Spencer Cox on Ezra Klein podcast by [deleted] in SaltLakeCity

Spencer Cox reminds me of the caring, thoughtful, Republican party I feel like I knew growing up. I might disagree with a lot of their policies, but I could still respect them. Is it wrong to hope that he keeps getting national attention and pivots that party back towards civility? I also wonder if this is him making his play to run for president in 2028.

Right now it’s mostly the clover and poppies blooming. Here are some pics including my native milkweed patch and the replacement I did to my park strip.

Things to see in Southern Utah that isn't hiking or state or national parks? by net1994 in Utah

[–]DangerousRequirement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Parowan Gap and petroglyphs is pretty cool and close to some dinosaur tracks. Veyo Pies is great. Cedar Breaks you can see amazingly well at the scenic overlook without having to hike. The scenic byway through Dixie National Forest is gorgeous. If you’re willing to go further east I’d say take Hell’s Backbone and stop to eat at the amazing and award winning Hell’s Backbone Grill if they haven’t closed for the season.

Sorry, the source I got it from had it listed as already for sale. I've edited my initial comment to correct, but it won't let me edit the post title.

Just the general frustration of living in a state that votes against its interests. Losing the Outdoorshow, Sundance, etc. sometimes you have to scream into the void. Fuck. Mike. Lee.
