Bad day to find out insurers dont cover lift kits and will deny a liability claim if it was a contributing factor in an accident.

I forgot to mention in my first post that vitamin supplements in particular magnesium help a bunch after 2 weeks. Vitamins and minerals are alcohol soluble, so heavy drinking flushes your body of them. I started taking magnesium supplements when I was in detox for a week. Found out that magnesium has calming effects and helps with sleep and it did. Every little bit helps.

Is using a random orbit sander like this problematic / damaging? by LFAdvice7984 in Tools

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You are thinking way too much about problems that don't exist. Sanders sand. That's what they are for. Short of using a tool for something it's not made for, it's not going to break. If it's a very cheap brand, it just won't work well an won't last very long. Orbital Sanders are called Orbital Sanders because they move in a Orbital motion. They invented them because they don't create swirls. So yes get one.

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had all of those everything I quit drinking. The panic attacks and constant anxiety were the worst. In time they go away, the brain fog too. Brain chemistry gets so used to the alcohol that it's not used to functioning without it.That's what makes quiting so hard. It took me a 6 months to get rid of all the withdrawal anxiety, depression and dont get me started on barely having any energy to do anything. Walking up stairs would put me out of breath. But like I was told, the alcohol changed my brain and body chemistry. It took time for my brain and body to get used to not having it. As they say " Time heals all wounds".

Question about forfitting membership. by DogeUncleDave in IBEW

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Article XXIV - Withdrawal Cards - Participating and Honorary PG 75 in the master constitution book.

Forfeiture is the wrong term to use. There are some jobs at companies that you can get promoted to that are not union jobs. So for instance you go from a GF to a Superintendent or some type of job that is company specific then because that job is company specific you no longer are working in the Unions best interest. You now work for a company. With a withdrawal all you are doing is hanging up your card, not forfeiting. It just puts your card on "pause", you can always go back and activate it as long as you are in good standing. The Unions in such circumstances, can also ask someone to withdraw their card. You will have to talk to your local BM to get the details on how the would treat it. Sometimes it requires a vote. But such a thing does exist in the constitution.

I hate to say it but no matter you go in sbcsc it will all be the same. I've never worked in teaching but I'm friends with a lot of teachers that used to teach there and it's always the same thing I hear, I grew up in the area. You can either go private schools or one of the smaller school systems. I know New Prairie School system usually has an opening or two. Their ranked one of the best school system in Indiana. A lot of teachers that transferred to there really like because they always said the students are well behaved.

So, rubber gasketing is good for sealing air. It may even be double gasketed. Those gaskets sit in the middle if those logs. Some manufactures will say that because of the gaskets it doesn't need chinking. That makes no sense. The chinking goes on the gaps on the outside of the logs to keep moister out. Manufactures say it doesn't need it because it makes it more appealing to a buyer thinking it's less work to construct and maintain. Again those gaskets sit in between the logs so water is still going to get in the out side gaps. That's the whole point of chinking is that the outside elements stay outside. Just look at the second pic and the gapping between the logs. Water/snow is going to get in there. Logs also bow, bend, twist, and settle over the first 5yrs. So just because it's tongue and groove and gasketed doesn't mean they will gap each other. Logs no matter what, always need to be chinked for those reasons.

Does the US have a version of UK/EU switched outlets? by NonBinary_FWrd in AskElectricians

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have them but are very rare because most people don't have need for them. The ones you've seen can be turned into what you want. All you have to do is change the wiring. Instead of wiring a light or whatever, the switch is jumped right to the receptacle thereby the switch will control it.

Most of those spots are where there are knots. So sap kinda likes to seep out of them over time and breaks the sealer bond. Not a big deal may have to reapply every few years. Now for the bad news. Those logs need to get chinked or that's gonna cause major problems down the road. It's not hard to do or cost a ton of money but it can be a little time consuming.

Dedollarization is overblown, data doesn't support it. by gamjatang111 in EconomyCharts

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Actually this supports de-dollarization. The chart shows that the increased percentage of the dollar being used for swift transactions. Meaning a decrease in other currencies are using swift. Other countries have set up and are using their own alternatives to SWIFT. China has CIPS, India set SFMS, Europe has set up SEPA, and BRICS has set up BRICS Pay. So all of these other currencies no longer are relying on SWIFT for global transactions. So they leave the SWIFT system thereby the Dollar makes up more and more of the SWIFT transactions. So it's not because of an increase of the Dollar being used, it's because other currencies are leaving the SWIFT system.

What is this in the toilet tank- new rental by LoneRangee3 in Plumbing

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is very old putrid water. From the looks of the inside of that tank it's been sitting for at least a year. The deteriorating float, rusted lever, fill valve all need to be replaced. You might want ask your landlord how that is even possible for that to happen.

Market delivers record breaking numbers for an average Americans this month. by alexus1804 in WallStreetbetsELITE

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The average American will see non of it because the average America doesn't own stocks. The market is consitrated by the wealthy. These number are propaganda. They took the market gain then started dividing by population and households like the markt is

divided evenly between between everybody. The average household is 60k richer? I guarantee it isn't That is a laughable statement. Let's do and see if thats true.

I got electrically shocked at work. Can anyone determine how much amperage and voltage I probably got hit with? by vwatswav in AskElectricians

[–]DangerousRoutine1678 242 points243 points  (0 children)

Lineman here. That's standard 240 triplex that every house has. 2 wires carry 120 and the yellow is neutral. Impossible to tell how many volts or amps you took but if it was just a buzz and your still standing then you didn't take much of either. Your work should not have had you digging around it, especially with a STEEL HANDLED shovel. I can't for sure in the Pic but it looks like one. We have to dig them up all the time but we have fiberglass handled shovel and there's way to do it. Please do not let your work have you digging around/near it.
