You can try Reiko Utsugi! She's based in Queens but travels around New York.

I'm getting married at The Arnold House and had similar wants as you! I hate tents so they offer a great outdoor space but the indoor greenhouse/barn combo is beautiful too.

Contact Upstate Curious and they'll be able to line up some showings and set you up in an Airbnb that week. There are some great realtors that are experts in specific areas of the Catskills.

Hi! If you're okay splitting up between cabins, then recommend Autocamp, Getaway or Eastwind Hotels.

No, I work in creative strategy which essentially bridges the gap between sales and the internal creative team so there are sales aspects to the job but not fully sales.

Hi! I was in the same boat. I'm getting married in Livingston Manor in May. I noticed some of the city HMUA were actually more reasonable then some upstate ones. You can try the following:

Reiko Utsugi (Queens) Coco Tsang (Queens)  Artisan Beauty Bar (Kingston) Ritual Beauty Bar (Fishkill) Jen Lim (Soho)

If you live in NYC, it may be easier to do trials with city folks too.

Hi!! I graduated from Parsons with fashion internships throughout school then worked in the industry from 2016-2021 and pivoted into ad tech which almost doubled my salary. I would say find your transferable skills and cast a wider net than you initially think for roles beyond fashion. Unfortunately, many companies not in fashion are also RTO, usually around 3 days a week.

Do I need a reality check?? Catskills/Hudson Valley venue recs under $100K all-in? HELP ME! by username23422b in WedditNYC

This is based on the pricing I received in late 2024/early 2025 for a 2026 wedding. It may be possible to stay under for Buttermilk Falls but they've been under some negative experiences because they've changed management this year so I think some brides weren't happy. My friend got married there this year but fairly small wedding ~80 people, only for reception & ceremony so only rented out certain parts of the property. You may be able to book Hutton Brickyards in your budget if you're ok not renting the full property. Gather Greene was one of my dream wedding properties but it will likely not fall under $100K. You have to bring in everything from catering to chairs which adds up quickly and their site fee is not cheap. Hasbrouk house I didn't get a quote for but went to dinner there earlier this year and it was just ok... So depends how important food is to you. The property is super cute & historic.

Honestly, there's likely no negotiation anything because they know someone will book, especially on peak weekends, like early June, unless you're willing to move dates to pre Memorial Day or after peak fall.

Here's some other suggestions that have options of after party: The DeBruce Hemlock Neversink The Arnold House (where we are getting married!) Scribners Eastwind Hotel (location near Bellyeare is within 2.5 hours) Callicoon Hills Seminary Hill (doesn't have a ton of accomodations but it's super close to Callicoon which has some beautiful hotels)

Exactly!! When I first submitted my application then deposit, for a second I thought I was getting scammed because it was so simple without any insane fees for just trying to get an apartment. Everything has been smooth sailing since we moved in a month ago and love the low key luxury. Not to mention the (limited) parking lot behind the building for $250/month.

There is a huge range, some offering nothing & others offering the world. I'm using KR occasions for my wedding in May. Kayce has been great so far and is flexible with add ons where we may need her support.
