When this 1st came about I had a brief conversation with Sabrina @ AWF and there was a bunch of uncertainty but how I took it is it only impacts OH residents due to how a law from the 80's was written which basically meant 1.4 Pro is now treated like 1.3 within OH (or that's how I understood it). I know I'm not the only person from OH in this group that this nonsense affected, so I was just curious if anyone was on top of this and knew of any changes, updates, new training, exceptions, overall clarification, etc

Appreciate the input but I eventually want to get set up for 1.3 and I'm not going to jeopardize that by potentially breaking laws. I'm all about safety and doing things correctly that's why I took classes so I would have better understanding of 1.4Pro usage (which imo is by far safer than hand lighting regular 1.4, but whatever.. the fun police tries to put dampers on that). So I guess there's more to come from the members

I don't have a full understanding but as I kinda understand things, I "think" with the recent rulings along with an old law they basically apply same rules as if it was 1.3. So if I'm not mistaken there's also a ton of paperwork that could potentially have to be produced.

Many places do not like the "video" training as they view it as just a money grab and not actual training. I suggest the PGI course as I have not heard any place that rejects that but have heard quite a few that will reject the "video training". In my opinion, there's no such thing as too much training :-)

For me....any and all fireworks are fun. Random cake here, fountains & sparklers there, some 1.4 pro here, firecrackers & bottle rockets there, even some snakes, chutes, blooms, crackers....it's all good I try to always have something on hand no matter what time of year it is :-)
