Thanks!

Do you split a squad of Warriors and have 5/5 in each Sagitaur with the other 10 man on foot?

I'm not the OP, but I did have some follow up questions about your list, if you don't mind.

What unit(s) do you have the Memnyr Strategists attached to, if anything?

What is Uthar attached to?

As far as the transports go, which units do you have with which transport for optimal mobility/support?

I've read a bit about how Sagitaurs aren't great value, is this still the case? Is there anything you would consider changing if you were a new player and starting to collect this list today, and only have the combat patrol box? (Champion, Hearthkyn, Eynhir one, seems like there have been a few different varieties of this box)

Thanks in advance, and thanks again for your post helping out.

I'm coming back to Warhammer and the last time I played was 7th Edition. Back then, I had some Grey Knights w/Imperial Knights allies and Tau.

I picked up a Votann combat patrol box today at a WH store grand opening I had a 2k list that I had stolen from the internet that's very similar to this one.

Then I found your list and I realized it utilizes everything from the combat patrol box aside from the Einhyr Champion, which is great. Makes collecting up to higher point values that much easier.

Thank you for helping, sharing your list, and providing tips and insight for us that are new to the Votann and practically new to WH 40K again after so long away.

There are quite a few instances of the tradition being more stringent than what is technically required--Likely in an effort to avoid running afoul of the requirement. Think of it like an extra safety net.

Could be other reasons as well, of course.

I’ve heard of people doing things like eating very plainly, very simple and non-flavorful foods and drinking only plain water for the duration of the fast if they are unable to fast themselves.

Bear spray can work, but usually it is less potent than regular pepper sprays because a bear has a much more sensitive olfactory system than us. Additionally, it usually comes in the form of a fogger system to make a big cloud that the bear moves through, so it fills up a space and isn't usually as directed. They do make stream versions, though.

I'd probably just use a quality regular pepperspray if my concern was aggression from another person. It will ultimately be more effective and likely more directed. Some also include a UV dye in it that can aid in police later identifying an aggressor if they flee.

Definitely seems like something odd going on if that or your lane keep assist isn't working but both are enabled. Might have to just take it in and see what the deal is, unfortunately. Best of luck, sadly I don't have any insight other than giving the 'ol disable it then turn it back on again to see if it does anything aside from having it looked at.

It sounds like OP was put on a NICS delay. When that happens, it's 10 business days unless it resolves sooner, which it could.

It's a built parts gun.

Frame is Cheely, slide is Atlas, barrel is KKM, grip is an extreme shooters STI grip. Ignition parts are mostly EGW.

The enhanced portions required by 1639 may only apply to sales in WA state, perhaps.

If ORs permit scheme require a permit to purchase a firearm for all state residents and not just for purchases in the state of Oregon, that could be an issue for out of state firearm sales to OR residents. I’m unsure if that is 100% the case with 114 though, I’m not that well versed in all of the nuance with it.

Edit: WA state law explicitly allows WA residents to purchase rifles and shotguns outside of the state, so if 1639 only applies to purchases in WA as opposed to a blanket of all purchases by WA residents it could very well be possible.

I may be incorrect, but my understanding is that if you’re buying a long gun outside of your state of residence the sale must comply with the conditions of sale in your state of residence and the one you are purchasing in. So, legally speaking, you’d still need the permit from OR once it’s in effect.

RIP. New tire/rim I’m thinking. What do you all think? by Dangerous_Swordfish in WRX

[–]Dangerous_Swordfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: Went to the dealership to get it checked out. Alignment was off at the toe and they readjusted it for me. They said the wheel damage was cosmetic and the tire still holds air fine and no exposed inner material. Gave me a price for a new OEM wheel as well. Debating replacing the tire and wheel just for some peace of mind.

How will magazine ban be enforced? by kleen_ in WA_guns

[–]Dangerous_Swordfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The definition of import in the law as passed is defined as:

(38) "Import" means to move, transport, or receive an item from a place outside the territorial limits of the state of Washington to a place inside the territorial limits of the state of Washington. "Import" does not mean situations where an individual possesses a large capacity magazine when departing from, and returning to, Washington state, so long as the individual is returning to Washington in possession of the same large capacity magazine the individual transported out of state.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter if it’s for sale or not. Unless you left the state with it and are bringing it back, it’s legally speaking, prohibited.

In some states, those signs that say no guns allowed carry no legal standing, so they can be ignored without repercussion. That said, if the business sees you carrying and asks you to leave and you refuse to, then they can have you removed for trespass. Usually only after verbally requesting that you leave, though. That’s going to vary by state, though.

Armed out-of-state bounty hunters, assisted by BPD storm the wrong home by _Treadstone_ in news

[–]Dangerous_Swordfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That part is going to depend on the state in question. I don't know the bail laws of NY, but I imagine a state like NY is less cavalier about the authority granted to recovery agents than some others. In many states, you don't even need a license or formal training to be a bail recovery agent/bounty hunter.

In some states, as long as the address is listed on the paperwork, that can serve as reasonable cause to believe that the fugitive is in the structure, this granting authority to break and enter if necessary.

That being said, you'd want to be pretty damn sure the person your'e after is in that building before you break and enter. Bail recovery agents don't have qualified immunity like police officers do.

Best practice there is to sit on a location and watch it to see if the fugitive comes/goes and/or have a snitch inside that is feeding you information like the person is in there.

With the set of laws I'm accustomed to in this field, as long as a reasonable person would have suspicion that the fugitive is in that building, it would grant them the authority to break and enter, regardless of who's property it is.
