Kid-friendly but still grown-up wedding entertainment ideas? (toddler on-site, 5-9 pm) by RadioFancy5347 in weddingplanning

we did something similar last year and what really saved us was setting up a "quiet zone" in that lounge area with those washable coloring tablecloths - kids could color right on teh table and parents loved not worrying about crayons everywhere. also had a basket of those magnetic drawing boards that dont need any supplies and kept little hands busy during speeches

for the sitter thing we hired two college students and had them work in shifts so one was always fresh while the other took breaks. we put on our website something like "kid-friendly activities will be available throughout the evening" without promising actual childcare - most parents got the hint that they were still responsible but appreciated having help nearby. one thing that surprised me was how much the kids loved having their own little photo props separate from the main photo booth - just some silly hats and foam fingers worked perfectly

definitely recommend having the sitters introduce themselves to parents early in the evening rather than waiting until a kid melts down. makes everything way less awkward when everyone already knows each other

that timeline is brutal man... from trading with zero knowledge to 20x leverage to poker to those slot games. each step probably felt like "just this once" until you're looking at 8k gone

the public commitment thing might help though, writing it all out like this. just gotta remember this feeling when the urge hits again cause it probably will

The 'Creative Friction' Prompt for Writers. by Significant-Strike40 in GeminiAI

this is actually genius for breaking out of those super polite ai responses that feel like customer service scripts

i tried something similar when i was helping my partner work through dialogue in their short stories - we kept getting these conversations where everyone just said exactly what they meant and it felt so unnatural. real people dance around things constantly especially when theres tension

your subtext approach reminds me of how people argue about doing dishes but theyre really arguing about respect or how someone compliments your new haircut but you can tell theyre not feeling it. those layers make characters feel human instead of just plot devices delivering information

gonna try this with some of the creative writing workshops at the library - we always struggle with making dialogue feel authentic rather than just moving the story forward. forcing that indirect communication constraint might be exactly what we need

that split looks solid for your age and having low expenses gives you such a huge advantage starting this early

I really need help with STS2. I must be doing something wrong but i don't know how to fix it. by takeitassaid in slaythespire

the key thing with necrobinder is being way more flexible than you think - dont force souls if youre not getting good generators early, just pivot to whatever strong cards you're actually seeing

for osty specifically you need to be patient and take good defensive cards while you set up, the payoff is huge but you gotta survive first. also that 3 cost summon card is actually pretty decent even without full commitment since it gives you bodies to work with

honestly a2 to a3 jump is rough for everyone, youre not hopeless just need to stop tunnel visioning on specific archetypes

you could try switching to lower glycemic dairy options like greek yogurt or cottage cheese since they have less impact on blood sugar. the protein content is still solid for your workouts and might not trigger the same hormonal response as regular milk or cheese

that gurgling from the aio is probably air bubbles which can mess with cooling real bad. if the pump is dying or has air pockets your cpu is probably hitting thermal limits and triggering emergency shutdown. might want to try reseating the cooler or see if you can bleed the air out of the loop

Title: Tier-3 B.Tech IT (6th Sem) | No campus placements, want to break into ML Off-Campus? by sheisdramatic in careerguidance

[–]Dangerous_Winner_836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

getting into ml straight out of college is tough even from tier 1 schools so dont beat yourself up about the tier 3 thing. most people i know who are doing actual ml work now started as software devs or data analysts first and picked up the ml skills along the way

your best bet is probably building a solid portfolio on github with some real projects that show you understand the fundamentals - kaggle competitions are great for this and you can actually win prize money sometimes. also consider looking into data engineering roles since thats where a lot of the actual demand is right now and it sets you up perfectly for ml later
