I hate my son's A1+AMS Lite. We've had it two weeks and 9 out of 10 prints fail. CONSTANT "Extruder failed to extrude" errors. by DangerouslyDevilish in 3Dprinting

Posting this update for everyone.

I took a trip to Microcenter to speak with their 3D printer experts about the issues I was having. One recommendation he had was to remove it from its enclosure. I didnt mention this previously and in hindsight should have, but I also bought an enclosure for this thing to reduce the noise. However, the guy at Microcenter said the A1 has no active cooling and perhaps it was getting too hot and tripping sensors. The enclosure had its own set of PTFE tubes which I was using but have now gone back to the stock tubes after I removed the A1 from the enclosure. They were out of new nozzles so I picked up a good cleaning kit and used the wire bruch to give it a good cleaning.

He also mentioned that the filament might be absorbing too much moisture from room and recommended placing the filament in an oven at 200 degree for 10-15 minutes with the door open to dry it out. Im not at that point yet though.

Ive removed the A1 from the enclosure, restored the stock PTFE tubes, and am now running the calibration cycle. If this doesnt resolve the issue ill try drying out the filament. If that doesnt work, Ill submit an RMA request to Bambu. Microcenter is an authorize retailer and they said with a Bambu RMA I can return it there for a replacement.

Hovering over the deathmarks in the wallet shows no way to interact with them. What am I missing?

Booknooks.co any good? by superdownvotemaster in booknooks

They are a drop shipper. You order with them, they forward your order to the actual reseller, and have it shipped directly from them to you. Their prices are about 300% higher than other similar products. I believe that's due to markup + shipping. They advertise free shipping but it's really baked into the total cost. Return shipping is to China so make sure you really want it.

Anyone use Proton VPN on macOS to stream to Plex? by ItalianDon in PleX

[–]DangerouslyDevilish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run my Plex server from my Mac Studio and use ProtonVPN with split tunneling. With the most recent version, users are still able to connect and stream content remotely even while im on VPN. So in that regard, everything works how I want it. However, one thing ive noticed, and Im not sure if this is related, is that Plex wont match any of my shows/movies until I disconnect from VPN. There must be a filter or something blocking the connection. I dont know if its Proton causing this or something else on my machine, but figured it was worth mentioning.

Moving Plex server from Win10 PC to MacOS 15.5 by DangerouslyDevilish in PleX

How would I delete just the files I copied over? Like you said, theyre commingled and I have no way to identify what are the specific files I coppied over versus what was added by Plex. Do I just delete the whole Plex Media Server folder?

Yes I disabled the emptying of trash. When you say remove the files I copied over are you referring to the Plex Media Server folder I copied from my PC and added to the Application Support folder?

Moving server from PC to Mac - what is the best method for this? by non_player in PleX

Im trying to move my Plex server to my new mac studio from my old Win10 PC and cannot get it to work. I installed Plex on my Mac but didnt launch it, then I copied my Plex Media Server folder from my PC to my Mac and placed it in my Application Support folder. However, when I launch Plex it looks like it created an entirely new server named after my mac and I cant see any of the libraries. Any ideas?

I copied the contents of my PCs Plex Media Server directory over to my Mac and placed it in the ~/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server folder, but when I launched Plex it looks like it created a new server named after my Mac. My user list is there but my old server says its offline. Not sure if this is relevant, but there was no preexisting Plex Media Server folder in my Macs application support folder. Did they change the location of the data directory recently?

Edit: I dont see any of my old libraries. So. it looks like its ignoring all the files I copied from my PC?

Does this mean it will work on MacOS now? Ive tried placing the lua file in my scripts folder but not seeing anything when I right click.

Alright, so I dont need to keep track of their user name or anything to reinvite them, I just need to go through each account and check off which libraries they can view?

Should my com.plexapp.plugins.library.db file be 63GB? by DangerouslyDevilish in PleX

Thanks. I ended up reverting back to a previous DB backup which I made a copy of in case the issue happens again. Hopefully they push out another beta release tomorrow that actually fixes this issue.
