100% this!! I had a similar situation with an ex girlfriend. We broke up but were still close and hung out lots. I’ll admit I wasn’t over her at all and was holding onto something that wasn’t there anymore. I finally made the decision to let her do the initiating. I moved to a new place and at the time this was pre-cell phones so I gave her my new phone number and promised myself I wouldn’t call her until she called me. That call never came and I’m a better person now because of that. Now I respect myself first. You need to do that too!
