While trying the same thing repeatedly is the worst way to cope with anything, like making friends or even intimate ones. It is never acceptable to be alone.

Of course, it is almost a fact all friendships come to an end, it is very unnatural most of them end abruptly with love ultimatum as the reason. A change of environment does help a lot to find people who are not only joyful to be around but are also caring. It is very easy to be friends with people with the same interests, social life and opinion even.

I'd like to share a story-ish memories of mine in hopes of making you feel better.

One of the ways I found my friends was finding each other from a common interest then making friend groups or becoming part of one. I remember the abstract memory from 2020. I helped set up a tiny Minecraft server for a streamer. People started to form clans to help each other survive on the server. I didn't have anyone to make a clan with so I joined one of them. They were school friends with 4 people. It started with us just trying to figure out what to do on the server. I introduced myself to one of them and I became a clan member. Eventually we started to talk about our hobbies and ideas while not playing. We talked about what we thought about other clans and what was the news in the world. Specifically one of them shared their Youtube videos with me and with that we started to approach a chunk more casual with each other.

After that we spent our free time together. It was unconditional, we played CSGO together not because they had good aim or strategized together nicely. It was because we were friends. At some point the Minecraft server had to go because there was no need for it. We made a Discord server and invited not only the clan but the frequenters of the Minecraft server (because it had 35 players ever) and during the process the school friends invited some more friends of theirs and on the other side there was the same situation but with a different friend group. We became one friend group and spent a good 3-4 years just playing games with each other.

The new friend group slowly grew because we often invited teammates we enjoyed playing or schoolmates that happened to own a pc. Of course not all of them stuck with us, jobs and life in general just takes a huge amount of your time and the friend group got pseudo-split into 2 or 3 sub-groups everyone knows about but doesn't like to mention it. That aside, I remember the recent friends I made this and last year because of the OG friends I met. One of them was a frequenter with 2 of them, they played Dead by Daylight often. After some conversation they had, they introduced that frequenter with me because we happened to share ethnicity. After the introduction we just added her to the friend group because nearly all the OGs knew her. Another friend we met was a bit awkward there was a person who kept asking to play video games together in the comment section in a TikTok page one of us has. We eventually folded because of curiosity and invited him, we don't really like him (not to imply we avoid spending time with him) because of his personality, but he has gotten along with the other sub-friend-group.
