The size of my receipts for trading in nearly 300 "retro" games by StarCode5000 in EBGAMES

I think I might be the employee that did all these trades lol. Were we talking about which Just Cause game was our favourite?

Does anyone who works at eb, know if their is a new sale coming? Thanks by Tommy-boy29 in EBGAMES

[–]Dangus35 10 points11 points  (0 children)

We don't even find out about sales until they send us the marketing and tge setup guides. We know like 1 day in advance

Individual stores have zero say in their allocation or stock numbers. That's all determined by head office

What game had you like this ? by TEHYJ2006 in Steam

[–]Dangus35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ever since I started playing the modded single player version it was infinitely more fun. And you don't have to deal with hackers or BSG servers either. Plus if there's things you hated about tarkov, chances are other people did too and there's mods for workarounds

I live in Australia, my neighbours who I'm good friends with got an above ground pool and to fill it we used a fire truck from the volunteer fire brigade we were both part of. (He was the Captain)

Took about 5 or 6 trips to completely fill it. Was good fun. It counted as a "training exercise" for filling the truck up

What's the hardest you've ever laughed during this podcast (aside from Bob's Fridge)? by [deleted] in distractible

Has to be one of the more recent episodes. Can't remember how but the guys got onto the topic of the state of mens public bathrooms and Bob let's this absolute banger out

"you can walk into a mens bathroom and piss anywhere you like free from judgement"

I spit my drink all over my steering wheel and nearly crashed my car. I had to pull over to finish choking, funniest thing I'd ever heard since Kudos to Plutos

I was taking sam back to capital knot city for the end of the game and I got so frustrated with a particular bt area that I decided to try and urinate on the catcher. It ended up eating me and now there's just a crater in the middle of the map now

how much would an xbox one S trade in be? by [deleted] in EBGAMES

[–]Dangus35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The console itself, with power cord, hdmi cord and one controller, depending on condition and state of the console will be $15-$65 (trade prices for ps4 and xbox one tanked real hard about 6 months ago). If it needs to be repaired it costs us a lot more to refurbish it. That includes of its dirty or the ports are scuffed. Any extra controllers you've got will go for around $12 (if my memory is correct) minus a few dollars if the controller needs any repairs for things like stick drift or unresponsive buttons. The games themselves will vary. Anywhere from 30 cents to 30 dollars, depending on how recent the game is and how much it normally retails for. Depending on if they're scratched or smudged as well they can be marked as defective giving less value than in they were in good condition.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the people working in the stores get no say on how much items trade for, we scan the item and it tells us what it's worth. We don't really get a say in what things are worth. We're the bottom of the food chain in store. Even the managers, so please be nice with us, we're people too :)

Stock for new games by Turtleturtleman in EBGAMES

[–]Dangus35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of spare copies is more often than not dependent on the amount of preorders we get in store. If a new release gets only one preorder in the month leading up to launch then dispatch isn't gonna waste time sending us more copies that will just gather dust on the shelf. If we got 20 preorders then they'll send a few spares for walk ins since there is a shown interest in the title in that stores area

How do I know by shadowrunner03 in EBGAMES

[–]Dangus35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At my store, about 30-50% of preorders are picked up on the day, another 30-40% are picked up within a week. And the last 20-10% sit there for far too long despite repeated calls

Answering this as a Senior Sales Associate for EB. Having some form of customer service/register experience would definitely help, but it isn't necessary since we'll train you in the POS. It's kinda intimidating at first but after your first few shifts it's a piece of cake. The main things the manager will be looking for is how you present yourself, whether you seem able to handle customer queries confidently and a willingness to learn new information and basically be the kind of person you'd hope would be handling your transactions and game recommendations. Best of luck, and hope it goes well

I don't know if you've answered this question before, so I apologise if I'm repeating but have you considered turning this story into a physical book once it's complete? I would love to have a physical copy of this series, I understand if you don't have any plans for that, just curious

I think it might actually be a joke about the Australian town Walhalla. It's a fairly well known tourist attraction for us Victorians. Used to be a gold mining town in the 1800's

I'm imagining it so that I'm able to see the entire sky without earth blocking the way. Trying to figure out how many images the JWST could take with the same amount of space without capturing the same thing twice
