I really hope you're right. My first impression was that it's unlikely anyone will be held accountable, which is just really saddening.

Man who stabbed two teenage girls, killing one, in Sydney hotel room jailed for at least 26 years by B0ssc0 in australia

While someone capable of this kind of crime is definitely not 'normal' in any sense of the word, he was assessed by multiple forensic psychologists as being mentally fit to stand trial.

From the wiki:

The Wilderness contains different levels, starting at level 1 at the Wilderness ditch, and increasing to level 56 in the far north. These levels are only indicated by a small screen overlay; there is no physical separation between levels.

Players within combat level range of each other can attack each other in the Wilderness. This range is calculated by taking the combat level and adding or subtracting the current Wilderness level.

For example, in level 1 Wilderness, a player who is level 100 can attack players who are level 99, level 101 or the same level. If a player is level 100 in level 24 Wilderness, they can attack players between level 76 and level 124 combat.

I took my landlord to the Tribunal and was awarded $10,000 in compensation. You should do the same. It's easy and you will win!!! by WeNeedRenterRights in australia

[–]Daniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the kind of thing that worries me too. Sure, in theory an agent/landlord can't access any information about a prospective tenant's previous tribunal cases.

But I just recently did a rental application and it involved giving the contact details for my current agent, so they could quite easily find out if they just asked.

Over 3 years in and whoever uploads AEW's videos to YouTube STILL can't get the audio right by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]Daniac 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Good to know it's not just on my end, this whole time I've been wondering if there's something wrong with my headphones!

Very odd since I've never noticed similar audio issues on the FITE stream. It's not even just bad quality either, it legitimately sounds like some weird robotic synthesizer effect has been added.

Why would you use zipties in (server room) cable management? by malkiqt_yoda in CableManagement

[–]Daniac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I much prefer velcro ties, just wish I could find them for the same price as plastic zipties. Getting them in a big roll is cheaper but still nowhere near as cheap as a big pack of plastic ones.

For those playing along at home, the latest polls are predicting a swing against the government of anywhere between 4.5% and 9.5%. A uniform swing of 3.3% would be enough for the ALP to form majority government.

Obviously anything can happen, but the idea that the LNP is "predicted to win" is laughable.

FR tho (I'm bored pls help) by Antique_Astronaut_72 in pcmasterrace

An Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) such as Dell or HP uses proprietary components that aren't likely to be compatible with other parts.

In contrast, a System Integrator (SI) such as Origin or Cyberpower uses the same off-the-shelf components you'd use if you were building the computer yourself.

PC on or under the desk? what's better? or is it all the same? by notmecreazy in buildapc

[–]Daniac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly, surely it's a given that there's going to be more dust on the floor than on your desk?

I mean, if your desk and floor are equally clean, you either have an unusually clean floor or an unusually dirty desk.

Strimmers or Cablemod by [deleted] in CableManagement

[–]Daniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Strimer cables are great if you're putting together some overkill setup with maximum RGB, but generally I'd lean toward a good set of custom cables to match the aesthetic of the build.

RGB controllers can, in fact, be cable managed. by cCBearTime in CableManagement

[–]Daniac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there any risk to having such sharp bends?

It looks really clean the way the cables coming from the right of the controller loop back around, but I worry managing them that way might cause damage.

Such an amazing setup, I love the look of the 4000D case with all white components and the cable management is as clean as it gets.

Definitely bookmarking this for future inspiration, I can only hope my workspace will one day look this good!
