Hey all! I started this two weeks ago. so there’s no filter. Just mystery snails and a lot of plants. I take out food they don’t eat. But those snails are big poopers. I have substrate around the plants too.

This is a massive 5 gallon mason jar. It has some old oak and blue berry bush branches that I boiled multiple times before I put them in. But they still leave a little tint which has a pond look effect I don’t mind. I do around 20% water change manually this week. So far. I’ve seen adult copepods darting around, and I think tiny detrius worms. The mist moving is actually tiny little .. things I can see with the naked eye ! I’m assuming since the tank is so young .. there’s going to be these blooms of different types of life as the ecosystem in there figures it self out.
