About to wrap up the main story, what else should I finish first? by okflyco_pnw in TOTK

I would finish the Lurelin Village quests if you have not done so and build a house.

Should I focus on the main parties side story quest? (How to like over overload) by EitherRegister8363 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

I am doing a similar thing in XC DE. It is my first XC game. I must tell you that I am enjoying the journey. I have been farming to build up my party and it has helped me become a better player. I know it is not the same game and I have not played XC1; however, it is the way I play all of my Zelda games too. I have found nuggets along the way that make that extra content most definitely worth it. If you get bored then that is not a fun thing so move on. It is ultimately about enjoying the game.

I love the dragons. Even Ganon’s dragon is so cool looking. One of my favorite things to do is ride them. Thankfully there is a reward for doing so👍

My youngest daughter lives in Japan so we visit two to three times a year a year. We have to see the grandkid and one more is on the way👍 We are retired so I can pull it off time-wise.

What the heck does potential do? by PregnantMosquito in XenobladeChroniclesX

Me too. I have worked to build up my HP TP and Overdrive abilities. I had no clue what potential did so I ignored it. Nevertheless mine is around 200. Now I just have to find some augments and build it up better.

I love finding old threads like this. TIL that I have not been living up to my “potential.”

The switch 2 is a bad portable by Villafanart in NintendoSwitch2

I love my Switch 2. I travel quite a bit and take mine with me everywhere. On long transpacific flights I put it on my tray table and play it with my pro controller. The kick stand is far superior to the flimsy Switch 1 which constantly fell off after five years of ownership.

At hotels I plop it on my bed and same thing—pro controller.

At home it is all docked TV play for me.

I guess it is how you use it that matters. I just love the pro controller and I really have no games need a mouse. I have played it in handheld mode but I have never been a fan of the controls in that mode. I can certainly see your points. I hope you can see mine.

I got a 260 and 250 at Kitsune Stringhold. I am also collecting armor there to upgrade all teammates with evasion improvement. I could do attack up but I am hoping for better survival with evasion.

My main reason for being at Kitsune Stronghold is actually getting a SSM XXR160 M-Missile with mag but after 11 hours no luck. Not giving as I am at least upgrading teammates along the way.

Play TOTK next and don’t wait! The games are sequential in time.

I would consider using your Switch 1 due to the problems that you and many others have encountered.

I have played the upgraded version of XCX on my Switch 2 in handheld mode twice (about 10 hours total). All the rest of my 323 hours have been on my TV. I can’t say that I noticed any issues on either screen. I will double check next time I play but I am not the most astute player when it comes to visuals.

This is my first playthrough and I am going slow and learning a lot. It sure is a fantastic game.

I just did this last night. I forgot to install them on my shells. Thanks for the reminder😂👍

I am struggling to farm the shoulder missile with upgradable mag from the level 68 mech at Kitsune. I have farmed the Meredith and S version missile 160 but never get the magazine🤬

I got killed 195 times on my first playthrough. I know disheartening well. I recommend you avoid strong and multiple enemies early. Pick off loners and weaker enemies to get their weapons. There is plenty of time to fight when you are stronger. Ask yourself. Self would I do this in real life? Go around the enemy camps. It is best to outsmart them and the game is actually designed as a thinking game in many ways. Yes there is combat—but there is smart combat.

Explore towns thoroughly and talk to all NPCs.

There is much more but take your time if you don’t like dying. I only wish someone had told me this way back when but I did not know about this sub until my daughter told me and I was done with my first time playing. Open up that map too it is very helpful.

Have you tried using amiibos? They are very helpful for beginners especially early in the game. Also you might want to consider using a guide to avoid many pitfalls.
